We booked this Best Western with a GiftFor2 arrangement voucher for 1 night. The hotel is located in the modern centre of Stadskanaal in the province of Groningen, near a theater and shopping centre and free parking around the corner. The staff has been friendly and were willing to help and assist. Unfortunately we had been allocated in a smokers... More

I stayed here for two nights. Stadskanaal is not easy to reach. I had to take a train (2 hours) to Assen and then because it was late at night, a taxi to the hotel. The taxi ride cost 85 Euros. The elevator is PAINFULLY slow. I only ate in the onsite restaurant at breakfast and it was adequate but... More

I had the privilege to spend 8 days at this premises. The price were suspiciously low (considering it included half board), however to be the one and only option of accommodation in Stadskanaal I am rather satisfied. The hotel is located at the town's main square and are close to the bus station (To actually get to Stadskanaal from Amsterdam... More

Being used to North American Best Western hotels, we decided to book this hotel when we had to make a trip to Stadskanaal. This hotel was one BIG disappointment. Weird entrance, not so clean hallways, small room ( and a little smelly ) and I can't remember the last time I had seen a tube TV. When we asked for... More

A nine storey building with a great location in the centre of a quiet town, this hotel is close to plenty of restaurants and shops. If, however, you decide not to go out to any of these restaurants, then the in house restaurant is pretty good. The stand-out feature of this hotel is the staff, who are friendly, accommodating, and... More

Got a lovely welcome, found all staff friendly. Happy enough with the room(s), two short stays. Breakfast okay but nothing special. Standard of other food, dinner etc. much better, quite popular with the locals. Stadskannal not touristy but is a nice place to stay if travelling through Holland but hotel is essentially for business. Agree with yorkiebar...slowest lift ever. That... More

We used this hotel as it was at a convenient point on our journey. It was quite nice. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable. However it was quite difficult to find and it took a couple of attempts to finally reach the (ample) parking adjacent to the hotel. (Some roads closed) Evening meal was expensive so we... More

I had to stay in that hotel for two times now, business related. The hotel is directly in the towncenter and give a great view over war "water-rich"-towndesign. The hotel offers some very tight parking slots, so if you're not very safe with you car, better park outside. The rooms are at best "medium", of course, 4star standard, with a... More

The lobby doesn't look much but the hotel makes up for it when you get into your room. However it takes a while for you to reach your room though as the lift is VERY slow. So after the first day I used the stairs. My room was lovely, very large and airy. It had large floor to ceiling windows... More

The room was clean, we arrived late and asked if we could have an extra room. This was no problem and even got the same great internet rate. The breakfast was ok, room and bathroom clean and bedsheets and furniture in mint condition. The elevator is a little slow but did not bother me. The people at reception told me... More
