We stopped at the hotel’s restaurant for a quick cup of coffee and a snack on an early Sunday afternoon. It was a nice and sunny winter day so the nearby dunes and beach were well visited. Although a number of other people had dropped in for refreshments things were nothing near capacity. Service was slow enough to require a... More

I would not return to this hotel. We stayed for 2 nights (actually we checked out after the first night). The location is beautiful. That's it. The reception was a pokey little breakfast bar type bit of wood by some stairs. The 'communal' area (I guess it was communal as there were quite a few dirty fabric chairs and a... More

Nice location, very close to the beach. From the outside it looks nice, but the rooms haven't had an update since the Beatles were together. Breakfast was pretty good, and the staff is friendly. I guess the Fletcher chain who owns the hotel just doesn't care about the rooms.

Very outdated. The only advantage is its location. The location is great, close to the beach. There are no other buildings closeby, so very quiet.

Stayed here in May 2011 and all-in-all I was very pleased. I was staying on a business trip but paying for hotels myself and was alone. The single room I had was small but perfectly adequate; it had a desk, an LCD TV and a great view over the dunes. It was clean, the shower worked really well and was... More

Some of the other reviews of this Hotel are somewhat less than complementary. The general opinion we were left with was that this hotel has immense potential. The only downside is that its decor and rooms need a serious refurbishment - if that is done well then Fletcher have a fantastic hotel in terms of location, facilities and period style.

I live in The Hague and know this hotel in the dunes very well, and always wanted to stay there some time and so I did. The restaurant is well-known in the area and this place is more famous for it's restaurant than the hotel rooms.. I had booked through a Booking website but at arrival I heard that the... More

We arrived 04/07/2008 at Hotel Duinoord. After checking-in, we dragged our luggage trough the small, extremely worn and old hallways (no elevator) to room 14. This room would not pass a 1 star rating in Khartoum. Wallpaper was peeling of in several places, there was about 5mm of dust on the tables and television, cobwebbs were a plenty in the... More
