We stayed in hotel Van der Valk one night - arriving late and leaving after breakfast. For this purpose, the hotel is ideal. Breakfast is quite good with excellent choice of different products. Spacious room and bath room; windows do open (I don't like airconditioned rooms), but it is quite noisy since the hotel is located near a busy road.... More

I stayed here for a business meetings for 2 (two) days. Dinner at restaurant was very satisfactory: tasty (local food) and good service. Unfortunately that was the highest point of my stay . The room assigned to me was supposed to be non-smoking, but was stinky with... cigarrette smoke. I complained with main desk and they just didn't care, repeating... More

I travelled with my husband and 15 months old baby. The room smelled of urine, there were choclotae wrappers of the floor (obviously not ours), there was dust on the curtains, cobwebs across the electrical socket in the corner (obviously, not cleaned for a while...) and nail clippings (not ours!) on the carpet where my little baby was supposed to... Hotel was quite easy to find and free parking a bonus. Rooms were nice and staff helpful. Had tea/coffe making facilities and spacious bathroom. Will certainly go back.

We were looking for an inexpensive, yet comfortable hotel near Wassenaar and this is exactly what we found. Room was ok, bed reasonable, if a bit soft to our taste. One has to be prepared for a bit of noise from the N44 local road outside, depending on the exact location of the room. Breakfast (incuded in the room rate)... More

Stayed in this hotel for 20+ years, once a year, until a few years ago. Caught housekeeping personnel going through my suitcase. Spoke to Manager about incident. He talked to housekeeper, who, of course, denied it. He believed her. I checked out immediately, needless to say, I never returned.

I stayed in this hotel due to the other hotels being fully booked. I was very suprised when I walked into the room to find it much larger than standard with a very impressive bathroom. The bath has whirlpool features and the shower is very big. Breakfast was also nice, although the Chef making eggs was not always there. The... More
