The location of the hotel is very good and beautiful. You can walk along the river De Geul and the forest to Valkenburg (1 hour). The staff was helpfull to explain how to walk to Valkenburg. The room was ok but not big, as well as the bathroom. But it was clean. The room has a flatscreen but no fridge.... More

We stayed in hotel 'de Geulvallei' for one night only. The location of the graveled parking is to the side/at the back. No entrance there, so you have to drag your suitcase over the gravel, that's not well maintained, by the way. Reception was kind. Our room was adequate but small and extremely noisy, you can hear your neighbour's conversation.... More

Bad experience!! Wrong room to start with and time consuming to get it fixed, We were "forgotten" at dinner, Wine and food were bad and expensive, Breakfast really bad standard with oversalted scrambled eggs and a chronic shortage of mugs and cups and one in particular very bad mannered female staff member that services breakfast and reception. What a nightmare....never,... More

Okay, we had a cheap stay, €75 included breakfast for one night. But a room that is not clean and not op to modern standards it was over priced. Parking is okay, Close to Valkenburg with lots of better hotels.

We stayed for a week so chose a deluxe double room for the extra space. The rooms were clean (the carpets did have a couple of stains but no problem). Beds were comfortable with extra pillows if required. The bathroom had slightly old-fashioned decor but had a great shower. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff spoke... More

This hotel provided us with a three night package of bed, breakfast and table d'hote dinner. The room was a bit small but the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was varied and good but the evening meal was only average. Having said this, they were working down to a price and we did have the option of eating a a... More

Booked one night and came a bit anxious because of all the bad reviews. But we were not disappointed. The check was quick and efficient. We got a nice room with a big bathroom. The double bed slept perfect. The hotel was indeed outdated and needed a renovation, but it was clean in our room. We only had breakfast and... More

We stayed in de geulvallei which supposed to be a three star hotel. The rooms are very small, the beds old andmuch too soft, the curtains need to be washed and the bathroom is a joke. The whole bathroom is from plastic and it feels you are in a dixie. The plastic is yellow from the old age. Carpets are... More

When is a doubbelbed, doubbelbed? Well ours was only 120cm wide so sleep was rather light. Everything was just awful, the smell, the dust, noisy housekeeping at 7 am, stains on the carpet everywhere (did somebody feel bad from the food?) I even saw housekeeping washing the bathroomfloor with the towel I had just used to dry my face! Really,... More
