We have just returned from the Walram, it having been used as an extremely convenient base for the National Holidays "Three Counties tour. Overall it was a pleasant stay. the rooms being clean, the bar more than sufficient, the pool small but excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly. A minor criticism is that there is only one lift... More

Returned from a four day / three nights stay at this hotel. I was part of a coach group, upon arrival which was very late due to hold up at the tunnel and traffic the hotel put on a buffet for us which was very good. My room had two single beds put together, bathroom with shower over bath, flat... More

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights to visit the Christmas markets. It is a nice hotel which is well located in a charming town, but our experience was marred by disappointments. Starting with the room service - there was none. In all three nights, our beds were not maid once nor was there any evidence the room had... More

Great room great food. Good entertainment for only 1 night. very poor so good bar & dining-room on ground floor toilets on first floor. worst problem was manager in charge of dinning-room was very arrogant & extremely rude. So no tips for dining-room staff. Cleaning of bedroom just a quick whip round & never hovered. I am glad I went... More

This hotel measures up in every respect even though some of the single rooms are very small with no drawer space. The food is excellent and the rooms clean and well decorated. There are two niggles principally - (1) There is no coffee or tea making facility in the room though this might be supplied on request to the management. -... More

Stayed here last week for 4 nights on coach trip with Grand UK Holidays (a big thank you to Karl and Catherine) and had a very enjoyable stay. I had asked for a room on the second floor overlooking the weir and the church and room 212 matched my requirements and was very quiet. Both room and bathroom were of... More

By the reviews I am reading, it looks like we got stuck in a room that hasn't been renovated yet. Since it didn't look like the place was fully booked, that is a real shame. The downstairs areas are all lovely and look recently freshened up, the breakfast was very nice, with a big selection. The only negative point was... More

Stayed for four nights on coach trip. Ideal position in town - shops, restaurants, churches, caves, castle all close by. Our room was quite small but clean and beds were very comfortable. Nice bathroom with shower over bath, adjoining room only had shower. Towels changed daily. Adequate hanging space, shelves but no drawers. No tea making facilities so take you... More
