This is another of these hotels that were decorated in the 1970s, and then left to rot. The carpets are dark red and green/grey - but the green/grey is merely where the Sun has faded the carpet. How long does it take, for a carpet to lose its colour? The owner spends all his money visiting Florida, and nothing has... More

Hotel easy to find with Tom Tom. Somewhat dated 3 storey hotel at the top of the hill but more than made up for by the excellent location. Only a short 20 min drive towards Lisse for the Keukenhof gardens. For the flower fields try the N206 as well as the N208. For the N206 drive down towards the beach... More

Whilst the decor of the Hightop hotel is a bit dated it is comfortable and clean and proved a good base for our group stay for several days last week. We stayed in a triple room with a balcony (sliding doors to balcony were only means of ventilation) which was clean and beds were comfy. Ensure bathroom was fine although... More

hotel is dated but well preserved -- educated pets are wellcome -- breakfast is good and plenty (maybe boring in a long stay) -- beach is at few minutes walk -- inside parking is a bit too tight, but lots of space on the street -- owners are the staff -- few minutes drive from Keukenhof gardens

When i was told that the group i was going with would be going to Hightop, i checked here and i was not filled with faith from the reviews, the pictures do not do it justice, yes it is a little bit out dated but most of the staff were friendly, though if you have any valuables it may be... More

At the begining of march I have arrange 2 overnights in this hotel. From that day I wrote them twice or even more and called them few times - I got via phone reference and was confirmed it's enough to have everything confirmed. When reached the place last weekend of May (date of staying) they at reception I was told... More

My family stayed at this hotel because it was close to Keukenhof and it was on the less expensive side compared to other hotels in the area. It was way overpriced for what it was. The hotel was in a nice neighborhood and close to the beach and gardens, but the rooms were cramped and outdated. The bed was comfortable... More

The hotel is badly in need of renovation and I would judge that this has probably been the case for quite some time. Some rooms are damp and musty and the bathrooms were were small. In one room the shower head was broken and there was hardly any flow. In a second room, the shower also only delivered a slow... More

We stayed 3 nights but wished could stay longer as the weather was great. We rented bikes and went for a ride in dunes and to the beach. Our kids loved the adventure. And the evenings we spent in the lovely bar watching big screen tv. and playing chekers with our boys. Our bathroom was on the small size. One person... More
