Had a great time. All the staff were really friendly, so were the guests, and it was in a really nice location. I would reccommend bringing a large stash down as leiden coffeeshops don't open till 5, and it's a great place to smoke. Would definitely stay there again.

This is a safe, friendly, clean hostel. But it's not what you are probably hoping for if you look at their marketing material. This is NOT a beach party hostel, per se. It's not their fault - it just isn't a town for one. Noordwijk is a quiet little beach town that doesn't really have that party 24/7 vibe some... More

We stayed at the Pig after a week of staying in Amsterdam because we wanted a change of pace from the crazy city life. It was the coolest place and we wanted to stay longer than two nights. The beach is just across the street and you can rent bikes for 8 euro a day and ride around the city.... More

Stay here for 2 night in 4 beds dorm in June. We have an alternative holiday in Flying Pig Beach Hostel. Everything was better than my expectation. Clean and nice environment. Bathroom with superb warm water supply. Huge supermarket and the bicycle rent shop are just beside the hostel, I enjoy my holiday here. Also breakfast was provided, nice!! Also... More

Stayed here for two nights with a friend in a mixed dorm. Everything was clean, and the hostel staff were really friendly and helpful. The breakfast was minimal, but exactly what we needed. The bathrooms did get dirty fast, but you could tell they were cleaned about once a day. Right next to the beach, and easy shuttle to Amsterdam,... More

Loved the atmosphere at this place. Very ideal for college group travelers or solo travelers. There's a bar in the main lobby which was a very fun place to interact with people from all over. My friends and I met mainly other college grads so I thought that was pretty cool. The service was very nice, the workers were polite... More

I don't think I have a good to say! The photos they publish of the hostel are NOT as it appears. The bathroom is filthy and looks like it has never been cleaned. And the website says it is 20miles out of city centre when it is actually 37miles! A very inconvenient location to travel especially when you have to... More

Although the location may not seem to be good it is actually in a very nice town. The bar and lounge are really nice places to relax and the staff are incredibly friendly. Would definitely recommend to others. The shuttle bus service is perfectly adequate so long as you book it the night before you intend to go into Amsterdam.... More

Ok "shuttle" into Amsterdam was a little bit of an exaggeration. It's just a van that fits like 6 people. If you can't make the shuttle it's super expensive to take the train into Amsterdam (it's 40 euros one way!!) Flying Pig Beach Hostel is NOT convenient at all if you want to go around Amsterdam. You seriously will pay... More

I have stayed in over 20 hostels and the Flying Pig Beach Hostel has got to be one of the best around. From their great shuttle service into Amsterdam, to the fun relaxed atmosphere in the hostel- it was definitely hard to leave. The staff are fun, friendly, and very helpful- you can tell they love their job and work... More
