This hotel has been a luxury refuge for rich Dutch burghers since 1855.It stands tall and proud facing the wide sandy beach and the blustery North Sea.It has been beautifully modernised.The bedrooms are spacious ,well appointed, beautifully colour co ordinated and furnished. The hotel is an old Grand Hotel, in a beautiful location on a nice oceanic beach. Rooms are nice but a bit old, with oldish carpets and oldish furniture. I stayed at the Huis Ter Duin to attend a meeting a few weeks ago. The hotel is easy to reach from Amsterdam Schiphol airport (around 20-25 minutes by taxi) and is located directly at the beach. I stayed at this hotel as the supplier I was visiting was in the area. The hotel staff are very friendly and the terrace was a bonus on such a hot day. After I checked in - I discovered that some rooms do not have internet access. They moved me to the new section of the hotel and found it to be very different and very nice in comparision to the first room.
