In truth, given Lucien Barriere's high reputation, we were a little disappointed with The Grand. My wife and I stayed for one night as part of her birthday celebrations. The 'Casino' package we got was excellent value. The staff were tremendous throughout and there was nothing to complain about. However, we felt that overall the hotel was in need of... More

Very good hotel; but missing some details to be really good. E.g. Carpet in the corridor completely worn out. Breakfast is good; but the scrambled eggs are not tasty and very "liquid". The restaurant "85" is ok, but price/quality wise you can get much, much better in Paris. The spa is nice but worn; tiles missing, peeling paint work etc.... More

Location is lovely, right on the lake in this charming town. Spa is great if you go when it isn't too busy. Nice towels and amenities. Plenty of storage space and the room was a good size. It was very clean and the wifi was pretty decent. I think it's already been said that this is a grand old dame... More

Old fashion rooms, but not 4 star standard. Nice beds. Breakfast ok. Nice personel/staff, but all extras very expensive. Location is on the other hand splendid with a view over the Lac, near a nice village center.

By staying at the Grand Hotel-even the name has a ring of past glories. This is a grand old dame of a hotel in a great position .The rooms are in the old "French" style with walls covered with patterned paper and heavy curtains ,Our room (204) on the 2nd floor had a nice lake view ,others may have had... We were here on a stop-over to visit some family members - as it is definitely not a "holiday" destination. The reception was quite friendly - but the place in general could do with a face-lift. We reserved a room with a balcony facing the lake. The room was clean but average - not necessarily well appointed - and there... More

We stayed there one week. The hotel was really nice and the view on the lake wonderful. The room and bathroom have good facilities. And the most was the Spa we enjoyed a lot. This is how hotels should be. Being on one the nicest quartiers of Paris, in front of the small lake the setting for this hotel is great. The staff is very friendly and helpful and even organised great restaurant seating in the town. The rooms itself have a classic design and have the most amazing beds. With strict dietary requirements... More
