I stayed at the property with my family for the New Years (2015-16). The rooms are comfortable and accommodate 4 people with no problem. The service was very good and the NY's dinner (at the hotel) excellent quality at a good price. I would definitely stay there again in the future.

Il Piccolo Castello is not a 4-star hotel. I am not sure how they got this rating. I would rate it 2.5-star. The room was dated, the shower was a very narrow plastic box in the corner with black mold spots. We booked a Junior Suite and got a room that was on 2 levels - 1 double-bed on the... More

My wife and I stayed at this place for a night whilst touring Tuscany. A big waste of money. The staff tried to insist our reservation from booking.com was not the correct rate. Their spa/sauna costs extra money to sit in a hot closet and large bath tub. They insisted only 1 room was available and yet we only saw... More

Dear Host we are really sorry for your comment . We are confident that your report regarding the insistence of the receptionist on price is only due to a language misunderstood . About our Beauty Centre it offers a small sauna, a steam bath and a Jacuzzi we rent for few money, for 1 hour per couple to let enjoy... More

We stayed here as part of a tour group while travelling in Tuscany. All the rooms are on the ground floor and have French Doors to the outside. Ours overlooked the swimming pool which made is convenient for sitting at the table and chairs provided outside.. The rooms are furnished in traditional Tuscan style so are very different to most... Dear guest thank you so much for your comment so important to us. The walk distance to the Castle is about 1km and half, the first part of the walk along the road but at the circle about there is a safe pedestrian path up to the Castle. In alternative you could experience a walk along the famous and ancient... More

This hotel is located in its own very attractive grounds but quite a way from the medieval town of Monteriggioni (45min walk over the field and along the Via Francigena) or by shuttle (not free but refundable if you eat at the hotel restaurant in the town). The rooms in the hotel are very pleasant and spacious, however the bathroom... More

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as part of a Riviera travel tour, and while the building, room and pool were pleasant on the eye, the service and dinner were well below what was expected. In particular the pre-planned menu was generally low quality, for instance we were asked for our selections the day before because we were... More

Dear Mr Tony, thank you for your feedback. Your suggestion are really important to us. Our Restaurant is usually well known as a good one and people are happy of our proposals. The first impression outside is OK. This however changes immediately when meeting the unfriendly staff at the reception and only gets worse. We booked a superior room but I don't even want to know the condition of a classic room! Very small, dirty and worn out bathroom with fungus in every corner, no free water, very badly insulated - could... More

Nice hotel with every confort set in a location that allows to reach the amazing Tuscan landscapes. It has a nice swimming pool and the rooms are spacious and clean. Breakfast is all self setvice and in high season too crowded. I didn try the restaurant, but from the outside it looks beautiful. I will certainly come here again.

This is a place to stay when you have a car as there is ample parking. The hotel is fairly old and the rooms are all on the ground floor all facing the pool or the garden. There is a good restaurant which serves typical Tuscan food. The breakfast in the morning is ample and even has a DIY pancake... More
