We stayed as a couple in Monteriggione at Il Chianti June of this year. Looking to perhaps book there again 2016 we realised that we hadn`t submitted a review and reading the existing ones were surprised that there were a number of negatives, totally contrary to our experience. Firstly it would be wise to understand that this is a small... More

We found the perfect place to rest on the Via Francigena walk route in Tuscany. We had a very comfortable spacious and spotless room with beautiful views of the hills. Our hostess was excellent and very friendly. There was a large selection of food for lovely breakfast. We Highly recommend.

Dirty, noisy with temperamental manager which made us feel unease throughout our stay. Would NOT recommend booking here at all. When we arrived at night we were met by Federica, who seemed very nervous, worried and suspicious of potential strangers entering the building after her. Our room was small, decor was cheap and charmless, which we were not expecting for... More

Ever since my first visit to Monteriggioni, I had wanted to stay at the B&B In Piazza, so I was very happy when our booking unexpectedly worked out after all. I had contacted the place over a month before we were about to pass through the area and had been informed that it was booked out. About a week before... More

We stayed in two rooms: my husband and I had a room with a marvelous view of the castle walls and the surrounding Tuscan countryside, while our children had the huge triple room with a view of the piazza. Both rooms were very well furnished and the beds were utterly comfortable; the bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The triple... More

It was a B & B in a very small walled city. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast ok. There were some touristy shops and some restaurants - we ate at one, it was ok. There is an information center. It is very close to Sienna Where we went for a day (loved that city). There is not much... More

We keep looking at our photos of this place, wishing we were back there again. Time stands still in Monteriggioni. History seems to have marched past it, leaving this exquisite town intact. Best of all, it hasn't succumbed to the commercialism of some other medieval towns. We had a spotlessly clean, airy room with a view of the surrounding Chianti... More

beautiful two bedroom accomodation at a great price. Wonderful stone building inside the walls and overlooking quaint garden of lemon trees, olive trees and herbs. Our two daughters (9&11) had really comfortable beds. Plenty of room for all our luggage. Staff were very helpful eg with parking etc and spoke several languages well. Breakfast had a good range of options.... More

We stayed three nights in a two bedroom suite with our three children aged between 3 and 11 years - it was wonderful. Our room was comfortable and clean and our kind hosts made us welcome to use their yard so our children could play there which was much appreciated. We had a lovely breakfast each day. The town itself... More

This was by far our favorite 3 nights of our 3 week trip around Italy. We were traveling by train and the very friendly manager came to the train station in Castillina Scalo to pick us up! Talk about great service from the start! Not to forget the emails and time on the phone explaining how to get to them... More
