We have just come back from here as we got married in Lindos. I am a Travel Agent and I always travel open minded. Our overall holiday was fantastic but our rooms were so disappointing. We are not really big hotel people so chose this as a nice self catering option - we did our research and it wasn't cheap.... more

Lindos is wonderful, really beautiful, even for Greece, with the old Acropolis in full view of the two curved beaches on each sides. Lindos gardens is good comfortable accomodation, perfect if you are on a B&B basis, so you can explore the tavernas around and not be stuck in a buffet atmosphere which would be altogether a different experience. We chose an afternoon flight as decided against the evening/early morning flights, due to the time of arrival. Got there about 4pm. Fairly long transfer journey - about 1hr from the airport. Rhodes having a heatwave when we arrived so air conditioning essential. Expensive at 63E per week. Had the feeling most people staying were on last minute deals. Beautiful beaches and views made up for rather soulless accomodation. Staying around main pool was a bit rough. Not enough sunbeds and a few heated debates. the place is nice and the staff are lovely however,we were told its family friendly and then on arrival taken half way up a mountain,which gave a spectacular view but uphill and several steps to climb with a buggy.the main gate was locked at 9pm making us have to use yet more steps to get to our room.you only have... more
