I experienced exceptionally bad service when I stayed at the Melia Merida in 2005. I had asked to extend my stay by an additional night. We only had one night at this beautiful hotel but it was definitely excellent quality and terrific value ... we felt pretty shabby in our sloppy holiday gear. more

We stayed in three Melia Boutique hotels during our trip to Extremadura and found them all excellent. It presented us with a great opportunity to compare them. Check in was smooth, we even had a letter from the manager wishing us a good stay. Our room was on the top floor, it was quite characterful with a sloping celling and steps down into the bathroom.
