Great location in the heart of the city. All the main sites are within walking distance. People who complained about the layout- not the fault of the hotel. Paradors are converted into hotels but are made to keep as much original architecture as possible!

It is in a top spot in the middle of town. The rooms are good but with small windows in the style of the buildings original use. The Parador is in the style of the renovations made in the early 90'es and nothing much has been done to it in the meantime. It is still attractive but needs am update!

I ordered a discounted room at a reasonable price (compareed to other hotels in the same category) and was very pleased with the whole experience: the rooms were spacious and comfortable, service was correct and friendly, and innovative (assisting me find a particular place my bicycle in the secure underground garage), the location of the hotel is excellent, and the... We stayed here between Christmas and New Year. Our first impressions were favourable, the Parador was not great from the outside, but the staff were helpful and friendly. Parking was easy though expensive, and we could leave our car there the following day while sight seeing, a real plus for Merida. The room was very large, and initially we were... More

Not our favourite Parador, though its hard to say why. One obvious reason was the breakfast which was the worse of the three Paradors we stayed in that week. The hotel layout was not very user friendly and it did seem to lack the atmosphere that some have. Car parking was expensive, but secure. The room was to the usual... More

I love hotels with character, and who could ask for more ... This is a former convent, complete with arched ceilings, wooden shutters on the windows and long corridors. The topiary and orange trees in the garden just set it all off. The staff are very helpful, especially in the restaurant, and are very keen to meet dietary requirements. We... More

We ordered their plain room and were surprised to find that the room was very nice, large and luxurious. In my opinion, there is no need to invest more in order to experience the Parador concept. The bed is very large and comfortable, the room has a very large bathroom. The sleep quality is excellent. Walking down a Parador's corridor... More

This old convent with about 82 rooms is probably the best place to stay in Merida for those who appreciate the Parador system in Spain. The historic building is kept immaculate and the rooms are large and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The air conditioning in the room was great and in the summer would be appreciated. iParking is... More

Had a wonderfully relaxing trip and really enjoyed staying at this Parador. Merida is a beautiful city and the roman ruins were fascinating to visit. The parador was a great place to stay, clean and very comfortable with great food.
