Had a wonderfully relaxing trip and really enjoyed staying at this Parador. Merida is a beautiful city and the roman ruins were fascinating to visit. The parador was a great place to stay, clean and very comfortable with great food.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel as its expensive. Room is a comfortable size and the beds are good. We slept well and its quiet at night (we did close the doors that open on the balcony). Good location and easy to get everywhere by walking. The old aquaduct... More

The Parador delivers what the Spanish paradors promise -- a consistent experience which is exceedingly hospitable and friendly. Rooms were great and the breakfast buffet and dinner were both excellent. Handy parking underneath the building - great in the crowded central city area of Merida. Given how far away our rooms were, some help with our luggage would have been... More

This B&B/inn is an oasis in a historic city, with a intimate garden for cocktails, an outdoor (unheated) pool, exercise room, a courtyard and outside dining. The room with a balcony was spacious and welcoming. Parking, outside within the compound’s walls or in their garage, costs 15 Euros. Cost was 85 Euros including breakfast.

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed the old world charm of the building, parking is adequate and very secure, good breakfast with wide selection of fruit, meats , cheeses and breads in a vaulted chamber. Pool was closed while we were there and in any case it is far too small. Hotel is reasonable central and not too... More

We stopped here for two nights while driving from Madrid to Seville hoping for a relaxed time. We were attracted to the hotels central location and the promise of a pool and garden lounge. Upon arrival, the parking and check in we're very easy. The hotel is large, but old and run down - a bit musty. Our room is... More

Slightly to one side of the city centre, but only a few minutes walk, this parador has plenty of spaces with rambling wings and corridors. It does look a little tired and neglected, with bathrooms that have seen better days and too few staff to cope with the size of the hotel. Parking is easy enough, secure within the hotel... More

The Parador in Merida lacks some of the charm of many others in this State owned chain and is located in a rather ordinary setting - certainly not a unique site often expected of a Parador. However, the Parador is practical, efficient and comfortable and is in walking distance of most of the Roman sites. Our room, while plain, was... More

Stayed here for one night whilst travelling from Bilbao ferry to Algarve. This hotel is right in the centre of Merida and once inside the walls you get a very different and somewhat special experience. There is an underground car-park accessed after you have checked in, which is great but comes at a cost ( £12 per night). Small pool... More

This is the first time my wife and I have stayed in this Parador - and it will not be the last. Welcomed on arrival by attentive and helpful staff, they resolved our room issue immediately and even brought the new room keys to our table in the terrace bar. Lovely al-fresco dinner in the restaurant and a gorgeous breakfast... More
