Not our favourite Parador, though its hard to say why. One obvious reason was the breakfast which was the worse of the three Paradors we stayed in that week. The hotel layout was not very user friendly and it did seem to lack the atmosphere that some have. Car parking was expensive, but secure. The room was to the usual... More

I love hotels with character, and who could ask for more ... This is a former convent, complete with arched ceilings, wooden shutters on the windows and long corridors. The topiary and orange trees in the garden just set it all off. The staff are very helpful, especially in the restaurant, and are very keen to meet dietary requirements. We... More

We ordered their plain room and were surprised to find that the room was very nice, large and luxurious. In my opinion, there is no need to invest more in order to experience the Parador concept. The bed is very large and comfortable, the room has a very large bathroom. The sleep quality is excellent. Walking down a Parador's corridor... More

This old convent with about 82 rooms is probably the best place to stay in Merida for those who appreciate the Parador system in Spain. The historic building is kept immaculate and the rooms are large and the food in the restaurant is excellent. The air conditioning in the room was great and in the summer would be appreciated. iParking is... More

Had a wonderfully relaxing trip and really enjoyed staying at this Parador. Merida is a beautiful city and the roman ruins were fascinating to visit. The parador was a great place to stay, clean and very comfortable with great food.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. Did not eat breakfast at the hotel as its expensive. Room is a comfortable size and the beds are good. We slept well and its quiet at night (we did close the doors that open on the balcony). Good location and easy to get everywhere by walking. The old aquaduct... More

The Parador delivers what the Spanish paradors promise -- a consistent experience which is exceedingly hospitable and friendly. Rooms were great and the breakfast buffet and dinner were both excellent. Handy parking underneath the building - great in the crowded central city area of Merida. Given how far away our rooms were, some help with our luggage would have been... More

This B&B/inn is an oasis in a historic city, with a intimate garden for cocktails, an outdoor (unheated) pool, exercise room, a courtyard and outside dining. The room with a balcony was spacious and welcoming. Parking, outside within the compound’s walls or in their garage, costs 15 Euros. Cost was 85 Euros including breakfast.

We stayed here for four nights and enjoyed the old world charm of the building, parking is adequate and very secure, good breakfast with wide selection of fruit, meats , cheeses and breads in a vaulted chamber.
