I spent 2 days in this Hotel and I liked it very much. The food was good and the staff was friendly. The swimming-pool was ok. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who decides to go visit Mérida. more

We stayed at the Parador for 2 nights in late July. We had an end room on the top floor, in the corner. It was absolutely beautiful, with plenty of closet space. We had a large bathroom with bidet, toilet and a bathtub with water jets. The bedroom area had seating with a small table. We also had a lockable... more

You know when you stay in a Parador in Spain that it will be a unique experience as they are hotels converted from historical buildings. As a result, you need to expect a degree of work needed in parts of the hotel. This Parador is no different, it did need some updating but nothing worth calling out. Our rooms were... more

The exterior of this building is very beautiful. And most of the common rooms are very nice as well. We were also satisfied with the breakfast. Most historical Paradors do have a dining room were you really feel the history in the walls. Parador de Mérida is no exception. But the corridors and our room needed badly a renovation. We... more

This is a good parador but not great. Rooms are a bit small and faciltites are mimumal. Ths building is historic but could use a remodel. Staff is a little more helpful than most paradors. They were running recession specials when i was there so ask about em. more

January is a quiet month for tourists so we took the opportunity to stay in this Parador because of the price, the history of the building and its location. We booked 2 double rooms for us and our 2 children and had fantastic, huge rooms with enormous beds and a spacious bathroom with a long, deep bath. We parked in... more

We adore this Parador! Our second stay in June 2008 did not disappoint and we are already planning a third stay. The hotel staff are very helpful and attentive. The rooms overlooking the pool and garden are large, clean with excellent bedding. Especially appreciated is the foyer which allows a person to move about without waking those still sleeping. The... more

The Parador in Mérida, a former convent, could not have been a more relaxing and comfortable experience (with one exception--more on that later). During our trip to Spain we stayed in 5 Paradores, and while each was unique in its own way, they all were consistently well-maintained. Mérida was no exception. Similar to a previous reviewer, our room (212) had... more

My wife, daughter and I stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed both the hotel and the city of Merida. The hotel is conveniently situated in a quiet square just a few minutes walk to the main shopping and eating streets and the Plaza de Espana the main hub of the city. We found the welcome warm and friendly (which... more

The room we got was very big, and so was the bathroom. The hotel has a very good location in the center of town and one can just walk to the Roman ruins and the Roman Museum (the best in Spain). There is adequate parking underground and in the garden. The hotel is very quiet and one can rest very... more
