We rented a two bedroom apartment in the old city center, close to the Roman ruins. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. I was worried about the noise from the street below, but it wasn't bad at all. The apartment was very clean and cheery.

We loved dining at the Rex Numitor, and on returning to Merida decided to try the Capitolina upstairs. We had a suite with two bedrooms and one bath for one traveling couple and accompanying grandchild. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom, while quite small, was well-fitted out, even with an electrical outlet for a hair curler or the like.... More

We booked this hotel through Booking.com and based on the Trip Advisor reviews. We requested an early check in between 1000 -1100 and received a confirmation email to say this had been approved by the Aparthotel. Firstly, it is the most difficult place to find. Signage is next to zero and we spent the greater part of an hour looking... More

We chose the Aparthotel Capitolina mainly because of its location and the positive reviews on this site, and were not disappointed. The location is fabulous indeed , and our apartment had a great view on the Alcazaba and the Roman Bridge. We stayed only one night, so it was very convenient to just walk out of the door onto the... In a almost traffic free street near the center and the Roman bridge, we find this building with on the ground floor a - what later turns more than excellent - restaurant and above some apartments with air conditioning and heating. Breakfast ingredients are metered in the room, partly supplemented. Spacious bathroom with a surprisingly shower, two sinks, plenty of... More

we are totally happy here. Great area. Lots to do. Great food nearby. Would definitely rebook. On you first pass stop car on side street to unload. Then park in carpark or park calle de Roma first then go back for your small things

This aparthotel is located right in the centre of Merida, within view of the Roman walls and the bridge. It was quite busy in the town when we arrived, and found it difficult to park,no street parking available. we eventually found a public car park, but then had to drag our cases quite a way to the hotel. When we arrived however,we were... More

The Capitolina is located pretty much right in the centre of the interesting part of Merida; steps away from the Roman bridge, and the Moorish fort, and a reasonable walk from the Roman ruins. There's an assortment of restaurants very close by, including the property's own restaurant right downstairs. The street that the apartment is on is actually blocked to... More

Arriving in Merida on a sweltering day, we were not looking forward to having to drag our bags from one of the public car parks. However, on checking in at the restaurant (as the hotel desk was closed), we were given a pass that allowed us to park our car within 50 metres of the hotel as it was a... More

We were driving round & round through narrow streets before we finally spotted it. The hotel reception lady was very nice & helped us with parking close to the hotel instead of in remote parking. The one room apartment is lovely with kitchenette. The bathroom has 2 sinks & a very modern shower. Dinner in the hotel restaurant was just... More
