Plenty of the other reviews will tell you how well this Hotel is placed in the oldest part of Jerez. What I wanted to emphasise is what a genuinely great experience it was to stay there. The rooms had been perfectly created so that they maintained the charm of this old building while also being very comfortable. Breakfast on the... More

La Fonda Barranco is in quick walking distance to the city centre, Cathedral, churches, bars and restaurants, shopping and Bodegas. My home is so packed with "stuff" there is no longer space for even an aspirin but the very minimalistic and cool space of this old patrician house still appealed. For those that value somewhere dead central, impeccably clean with... More

Finding La Fonda is not easy (although is an ideal location for walking around the city) but immediately on arrival we were made welcome I broke my wrist in Cordoba 4 days before and David simply could not do enough to help. Cups of tea were provided and luggage whisked away. Within no time David had worked out what we... More

We highly recommend La Fonda Barranco in Jerez. It is in walking distance to the downtown and the cathedral. Has a great owner, David, who knows exactly where to go for shopping, restaurants, bars, bodegas, and tours. He added a new and wonderful element to our stay. The only difficulty was finding the hotel, because of the lack of street... More

Thanks David for our second enjoyable stay at La Fonda Barranco! Shame it was only two nights but for anyone wanting to stay in Jerez we can really recommend this B&B. Its only a few minutes walk to some great tapas bars and restaurants (recommend La Cruz Blanca) and also the Cathedral, the Tio Pepe Bodega and the centre of... More

If you want something exceptional, then stay here - the owner, David, makes it an unbelievable stay. As other reviews have said, he makes the whole stay a memorable one - we stayed for 7 nights, and I'm so glad we stayed here - it's only a 10 min stroll into the centre of town, and there's many many restaurants,... Jerez is certainly not going to be on everyone's radar BUT if you are looking some some superb accommodation, stay here. It is centrally located within an easy walk to the pedestrian area of the city. David is as good of a host as one could be. He tells it as it is and his candid comments on where to... More

From the moment David came to meet us after our fraught navigation of Jerez's beautiful but tiny streets we realised that we had found a real gem. David is incredibly welcoming, friendly and an absolute mine of information about Jerez, the Costa de la Luz and indeed the history of Andalucia and Spain. All his tips on where to go,... More

We stayed for four nights at La Fonda Barranco, and really enjoyed it. We stayed in a spotlessly clean room in a recently refurbished traditional old house in the centre of the old town, with a courtyard. The breakfast on the roof each morning was very good, fresh juice, coffee, bread and tomatoes (which works really well in warm Jerez),... More
