I am afraid there are not enough words to describe our impressions about this place. You just need to be there in order to understand. The place is really magic providing total relaxation. Service is one of the best in the world - all 5* hotels in Spain could ask them for training. But in fact I think that it... More

We spent two nights in the house and we are absolutely delighted! The stylish interiors and the beautiful surroundings create peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. You really feel You are resting there. The service just amazing - thank You Isabel!! We are travelling a lot, often staying in 5 stars hotels but never had such service as in Casa! Delicious food... More

Just returned from a wonderful short stay at the Alcantara. What to add? Jorgé looked after us perfectly - what a sweet man. The bedroom was grand, cool and ultra-comfortable, the breakfasts delicious, setting tranquil and if there's a better way to spend an afternoon than lazing in and about the sublime pool, I'd like to know about it. Of... More

The hotel is an old country house set in beautiful grounds with a pool and gorgeous garden. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable with good air-con, modern en-suite and ours had a small balcony. There is free Wi-Fi in and around the house but it doesn't reach out to the pool. The setting is extremely peaceful and we were... More

We stopped off here while touring Andalucia. We only intended to stay one night, but soon decided to stay until the end of our holiday. The house has been done up beautifully, and is extremely comfortable. There was a roaring log fire in the drawing room, where we would relax with a glass of Tio Pepe,(the house belongs to the... This is quite simply the best place we have ever stayed. My wife was unfortunately ill before we left for Spain and continued to suffer whilst away. The staff and owners daughter were so attentive to our needs ensuring everything possible to make her comfortable. The rooms, public areas and gardens are pristinely presented, the pool is a perfect location... More

This old landhouse was once a family home and now offers you lovely accommodation just 5 minutes away from Jerez centre. It is a beautifull small place to stay for celebrating your honeymoon. The rooms are beautifully decorated in pale earth tones to reflect the natural surroundings of the house. The rooms upstairs have steeply beamed ceilings and all have... More

The other reviews say it all. Whether you want to relax by the pool, with drinks brought to your sun-lounger by George or Martin (very cheerful and willing members of staff from Peru and Bolivia), or want to visit Jerez (don't miss the Gonzales Byass tour) or Cadiz, this is the perfect place to stay. A peaceful location, comfortable rooms,... More

Beautiful,small(9 rooms) extremely comfortable hotel just outside Jerez near GP circuit/Montecastillo golf resort.Superb, unobtrusive but efficient staff(1,2 or3 gentlemen, depending on number of guests) and the Lady owner popping in to greet and ensure a perfect stay. The rooms are large, airy, beautifully furnished(as is the whole house)with no TV's/radios to detract from the tranquility. The Air-con is switched on before bed and is really efficient... What a wonderful hotel this is - actually, more like a large house. We felt we were upgraded to our own elegantly decorated mansion. The house itself is huge, with very nice airy living room with wifi and nice comfy couches by an unused fireplace. There's also an honesty bar with all the necessary liquors. We spent every night there... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Concealed in a dense arboreal garden of palms, cypresses, myrtle, bay and lentiscs, lies a secret world, the world of Casa Alcantara, an exclusive accommodation only 10 minutes from Jerez airport, Cadiz, Andalucia. Here the family had their private shooting box; and on a bright crisp winter's day, they would retire from shooting partridge to indulge in the simple pleasure of a country fireside, glittering copas of cooled Tio Pepe, or amber oloroso, and a homely lunch of hot sopa de ajos, eggs from the farm hens, gently fried in olive oil, or perhaps some spinach or Swiss chard grown between the vineyards on the hills behind the house. ... more   less
