The best hotel we have stayed in Andalucia. Extraordinary. Magical. Restorative. I wish I could've spent a month here, but we had three incredible days. A salt water pool amidst stunning woods? We did not expect that at all. The staff were amazing and helpful, going out of their way to prepare us a late night light dinner by the... More

My wife and I stayed here for two nights after seeing all the marvellous reviews and weren't disappointed. If you're looking for peace and tranquility a short distance from Jerez in a beautiful setting then this is the place to be. The house and gardens are immaculate and atmosphere is very calming. Highly recommended.

We arrived here on our way through to Granada just for one night, but wished we could have stayed longer. This property is semi-rural, just outside Jerez & handy to the freeway. We were greeted like Royalty, escorted to our lovely room, exquisitely & tastefully decorated ( as is the whole Villa.) the bathroom was a dream...then given a tour... More

so agree with the earlier reviewer who compared it to Fawlty Towers, albeit one with five stars. Felt they weren't prepared for our visit immediately prior to Xmas, with cold bedrooms, unlit fire in dining area etc. However a phone call to the owner who had taken our booking seemed to kick everyone into action and from then on,the temperature... I can concur with the majority of the reviews that this place was very special. We stayed 3 nights and found it a fantastic quiet secluded paradise. The overall experience was one of a spotless private villa with a scattering of guests....it's quiet near to Jerez Grand Prix circuit so the silence was interrupted by the odd distant roar of... I'm not sure how to review this one as everyone else has just given it so much praise. It's not that there is anything negative to say, but I found the experience quite odd, if I am honest: a bit of a cross between Fawlty Towers and the Adams Family.... But this is absolutely not a criticism, as the people... More

I am afraid there are not enough words to describe our impressions about this place. You just need to be there in order to understand. The place is really magic providing total relaxation. Service is one of the best in the world - all 5* hotels in Spain could ask them for training. But in fact I think that it... More

Just returned from a wonderful short stay at the Alcantara. What to add? Jorgé looked after us perfectly - what a sweet man. The bedroom was grand, cool and ultra-comfortable, the breakfasts delicious, setting tranquil and if there's a better way to spend an afternoon than lazing in and about the sublime pool, I'd like to know about it. Of... More
