The beautiful town of Caceres is not on most tourists to do list but it should be! The Parador is absolutely beautiful. We had a lovely room with a spacious bathroom and amenities. The Parador is in a wonderful location for exploring the OLD TOWN, The restaurant where breakfast is served is exquisite and the breakfast itself was the most... More

Arrival to the hotel is interesting but not a problem thanks to the detailed instructions supplied by the hotel and guidance by tom tom. After reading previous reviews I was worried about parking but was able to park no problem and free. Room was clean and warm and staff were friendly and gave plenty of suggestions to fill our two... Great hotel, however hard to reach by car....also very limited parking at the back of hotel however the receptionist came out to move his motorbike to give us his space which helped! Lovely building and I appreciated the updated hotel rooms However we did have a problem with the vent letting massive blue bottle flies into our bathroom! Yuck seriously... More

Best of both worlds. You get all the old world charm in the common areas, and the rooms are completely comfortable and modern. The hotel is well-situated in the center of the old part of the city, with free (at least I think it was free) parking right outside the door. It was one of the most comfortable beds on... More

Another parador that was a friary. It is so much better that they have lost their religious function. Sitting having a pre-dinner gin in the square, then enjoying the usual high standard of parador food is an excellent way to spend the evening. Cacares itself is a little religious, but Spain can't seem to help it.

Breakfast was sumptuous and the room was comfortable, however we had to sleep with an open window to keep the heating from functioning (impossible to switch it off otherwise!?!!, and the room was boiling). Also, there is limited parking space, and you're not advised to drive in the old town anyway (which can be hellish), which means that if you... More

Had high hopes for this based on the other reviews and the convenience of its location to Atrio, where we had reservations for dinner. Unfortunately, our experience was, hands down, the worst stay of our two-week trip to Portugal and Spain. The problem? An apparently non-functioning air conditioning unit which made it so uncomfortable in the room that we hardly... More

This 14th century building in the middle of this incredible 14th-16th century town - like a mini-Siena - houses a wonderful hotel, run by some of the most friendly, helpful people we met in Spain. The restaurant, set in a small garden is also excellent and has interesting regional specialties. This hotel is very peaceful and comfortable - might not... More
