Be aware that as you wind your way through the very narrow streets, a couple of hundred metres before the Paradore there is a set of bollards, press the switch and the operators will allow access after you tell them you are staying at the Parador, you might get lucky and tailgate someone in. The hotel is amazingly presented -... More

It is a good place to stay exploring the old town of Caceres. Before you get into the restricted zone where the hotel is located, you will have to push the telecon placed on the traffic light pole. After the hotel staff verified your name, they will release the barricade for car to drive in. The staff we ran into... More

Thanks for you comments in relation with your stay in our hotel. Actually the telecom placed on the traffic light pole get in contact with the local police; in order to preserve the monumental town,it is a restricted area for cars; just the inhabitants and a few more people as our customers are authorized to get into. If you decided... More

Definitely a great place to stay! Excellent value, clean Rooms. Not too difficult to find. I agree, I would avoid large car as it is placed in the middle of the old town. Amazing sense of history, particularly at night when the town is quiet. It was a great place to stop if traveling between madrid and Lisbon. A highlight... More

My wife and I stayed here for four days in October. The hotel is inside the old city of Caceres, a city full of history and well worth a visit, deserves the World Heritage designation. If you have any spanish it is well worth your while taking the guided tour ( only available in Spanish). The room was very comfortable... More

First of all we want to thank for your report about your stay in The Parador of Caceres. Unluckily there are not a free space to place a pool and we take note in relation of the atmosphere of the bar. In fact although the guided tours are programme in Spanish, it is possible to have private guided tour in... More

The parador is tucked away and not an imposing castle like many others, however it has lovely architecture and spacious rooms, having said that it also has a peculiar mix of ultra modern and old. I should have liked a grand old fireplace for the lounge area but it was a modern room The welcome was very good although parking... More

Located in the (slightly antiseptic) old town, this is a modern designer hotel built into the shell of an old palace. The super efficient air conditioning keeps the rooms very cold (you can turn it down/off, but they go back to maximum when you leave the room). It's great being in the old town, but that means that space is... More

They will try to charge Americans in USD at a rate ($264), 7.5% higher than the interbank exchange rate ($246). When I caught this, the manager was "unable" to cancel my transaction but instead refunded me in euros, so my bank only credited me $246. This "service" of charging you in your home currency is highway robbery and ruined my... More

What a thrill to stay in this grand and comfortable Parador. We have not yet stayed in a Parador in Spain that has not been comfortable, spotless, luxurious and value for money. The Parador is situated in the heart of the old town and was for former Torreorga Palance built on Arabic foundations. It boasts of a very large door... More

This hotel is truly ridiculous. It's virtually impossible to find sat nav does not recognise the address it's in a tiny street in the walled old town and entry is prohibited by car except via traffic lights with retractable bollards but no instructions as to how to operate it! Once found there is parking for 7 or 8 cars only... More
