We spent two nights at the Parador de Caceres. As others have said, it is a bit tricky to get to but well worth the effort. It is in a perfect location for exploring the old city. The parador, according to other reviews, has recently been remodeled. As you look around, you can see the original structure of the old... More

We stayed three nights, early November 2011. The room was excellent. The breakfast, incredibly complete. The Staff very helpful and cordial. If you drive your car, you MUST get a very detailed route to get to the street in the back of the main entrance. In fact, you will get to a light and call from the phone at the... More

We were looking forward to revisiting this recently restored Parador, but found that it too like most of the other recently updated Paradors was lacking in character and cuisine. Only the reception desk, bathroom in our room and breakfast made us realize that we were indeed in a Parador, that is until the usual large bill was presented to us... More

Stayed in this Parador in 1994 or 1995, and again in Nov 2011 so I feel well placed to judge the impact of the recent renovations. "Lacking charm" is harsh. The old Parador had lots of unused spaces, was a bit cold and echoey. Didn't feel comfortable in it, unlike the many others that I've stayed in. The renovations have... More

Caceres is definitely worth a visit as an amazing example of a preserved walled city. And the location of this hotel is perfect for exploring it. But if you decide to stay here be sure and get instructions on how to get there as entry into the old city is very tricky. We were fortunate that we spoke the language... More

Travelled from Oropesa via Guadalupe and Trujillo - a must see City in itself and arrived up cobbled narrow streets into old city. Parking was really difficult to secure but the waiter directed me to reception and the gentleman on desk volunteered and helped to move his motor-bike to squeeze me into last parking bay. The Parador has been modernised... More

Beautiful hotel in a stunning location with helpful, friendly staff. We were here for one night of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it, the hotel is in the most incredible building that they just finished refurbishing in April this year so it was immaculate. On discovering it was our honeymoon and that we had accidentally booked a twin room (cama... More

Very recently renovated and located in the historic centre - plenty of atmosphere. Well run, and with a very pleasant restaurant where you can either dine in the garden or salon. Curiously, the free wifi is only available in a few public salones. Our room was large and extremely comfortable. More
