Quiet, small hotel in the middle of the old city, very quaint and real, authentic historical building ( which we enjoyed ) and all rooms different. Does not offer much amenities, but were not looking for it, just a reliable and friendly place during our stay in Caceres to enjoy the food there, which was wonderful. Feels like staying at... More

We really enjoyed our stay in this little hotel, even though it was complicated to find! The lady on reception was so helpful and patient though, giving us directions by phone, so we got there in the end. The building is old, but has been well renovated, if not to a high spec, to a pretty and quirky taste. The... More

Many people have difficulty finding this place, and we soon realised where it must be but couldn't get there because of the one-way system. It's actually on a narrow one-way street running away from the Plaza Mayor to the bullring. We decided to save time by parking a couple of streets away and walking - we only had an overnight... More

I can't disagree with Marieolive - the Palacete Alameda is fiendishly difficult to find. This is not the fault of the hotel; approaching the city from the north, the signs for the Ciudad Monumental had me driving in circles for some time. (I think it is easier to find the old town from the Trujillo road). By chance, and after... More

We are practised in the art of finding hotels in old Spanish city centres-but this one nearly defeated us. The hotel had sent us a map but this was impossible to follow since so many of the roads were closed off for road works and our sat. nav could not cope with the intricacies of the one way system. After... More

Palacete Alameda was what I expected: a charming place very near the Plaza Mayor. Nice and helpful staff.
