My family and I stayed here in the rooms upstairs, followed by Christmas dinner for five. The rooms are very homely with tasteful touches. The single ensuite room is actually very sweet, sufficiently spacious and lovely view of the garden. A bonus for the fresh coffee in the room! Great service with a smile downstairs for our Christmas dinner also.... More

The pub continues to get better and better. This time the food had improved yet another step and the young chef produced excellent fayre for a large group in a very timely fashion. As others have mentioned you receive a friendly welcome from the ever helpful team. The layout provides a lot of space but in a fashion that makes... More

Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great stay. The hosts were very hospitable and both dinners and breakfasts excellent. We were very touched by the kindness towards our mother especially. I recommend the Three Horseshoes without hesitation.

Stopped in for a quick bite to eat on a lunch break. There were a few tables with couples eating already there, we ordered drinks and sandwiches at the bar. I had the home cooked ham sandwich with chips, the sandwich arrived 10 minutes after ordering, which gave us plenty of time to eat and get back to work. The... More

Stayed for one night, booked what I thought would be Bed and Breakfast in a village pub. However, on arrival we found out the breakfast consisted of apple juice, yoghurt and cereal in the room, which we didn't attempt, prefering to find the nearest establishment serving a cooked breakfast. Our evening meal was not good, undercooked fish and overcooked vegetable... More

Tasty pub food in a pleasant atmosphere served by great staff. It was a nice suprise to find such delicious food in a pub. The ale pie was delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding. Lovely landlord and landlady.

We walked here from Selbourne along Hanger's Way and had an excellent Sunday lunch in the pretty garden. Both the roast chicken and pork were v tasty. Very generous portions, we had no hope of trying their puddings. Will definitely return.

The staff were welcoming g immediately on arrival and sorted drinks and menus very quickly. The pub is child friendly with toys which was great for our child but also not so child specific you're in a soft play - they've got the balance of family and no family spot on. Although it's not really on a main route I... More
