We emailed the hotel and asked if it was possible to arrange for a transfer and also whether it would be possible to book one of the rooms with a balcony. We received a very nice email back assuring us that the room would have a balcony and that they could do the transfer cheaper than a taxi. Well easy... More

Hotel Ambra is in Quarto D'Altino, some 30 minutes from Venice... in the Province of Venice still... at first I din't realise that I was away from Venice Central when doing my booking, but when I got there I really loved it. Taking the train Venice was great, not long at all and they run until really late. Plus staying... More

This is a decent, but somewhat charmless hotel near Marco PoloAirport. Clean large rooms, free parking, free wifi, and a friendly staff. In the middle of the small town of Quarto d' Altino there are banks, markets, and some restaurants are a few steps out the door.

We stayed at the hotel between 14-21 of August 2013. Everything was previously paid and arranged on the basis of B&B . However At the time of checking out & to our very surprise we were asked to pay an extra €120. When asked why, the manager insisted that we had to pay €80 as tourist tax and €40 for... More

We stayed in this hotel just one night and chose it for its being close to the place where we were to spend the day. It's a clean and comfortable hotel with free parking. It's very close to the centre of the village, which means you have places to eat and shops nearby. The breakfast was good, just note that... More

I stayed in this hotel three nights with my parents. The hotel is very clean and modern. We had no problems there at all. It is in a beautiful area, which is very peaceful. The buffet breakfast provided has variety of croissants, cakes, youghurts, cheese, biscuits, meat, bread, fruit and many choices of hot drinks.Theres a supermarket near by, a pharmacy,... More

Hotel Ambra is located in a safe area. It was a decent hotel. My only challenge with the hotel is the cost to use the air conditioner (the temperature was unseasonably warm.. we were told) and the fact our A/C was controlled by the "front desk." The cost for the A/C was 4,50 Euros (roughly $6.00) per day and we... More

the ambra was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The staff were more than helpful with enquiries regarding buses, trains etc. The station was a 10-15 minute walk away and took approx. 30 mins into Venice, located right in front of the Grand canal. Would reccomend if you prefer to stay somewhere a bit quieter, although shops, restaurants were close by.

This was a good and affordable option near Venice, where hotels are super-expensive and in limited supply when cruise ships depart/arrive in Venice. The front-desk workers were pleasant and helpful. The train stop is 15 mins away walking, which can be a pain when hauling in/out your luggage or after a long day walking around Venice. However, the walk through... More
