A hotel with a clear design-feeling regarding furniture and "look" in lounge area. Dining- room very 80s though. Pool nice and tidy.. Rooms very clean and nice aswell. Hotel gives you a very 4-star feeling when it comes to design etc.. BUT... thats where the stars stay... Staff; Unfriendly, uninterested, seemed bored. Never a smile !! NEVER. We even started... more

We stayed two nights in this recently refurbished Best Western hotel. This is a hotel which primarily caters to business people since Pomezia is not a big tourist attraction. Consequently it could be described as a ultra modern fully functional four-star hotel with all the amenties for a comfortable stay but lacking in character. The hall and reception area is... more

The Selene was really new and modern looking. The facilities were pretty much state of the art and everything looked just as nice as a really expensive downtown hotel would in the U.S.. However, it is definitely outside of Rome and there isn't anything around it, so if you want a convenient location this may not be for you. There... more

I recently stayed at the Hotel Selene as it's near my office in Pomezia. I have travelled to the area many, many times before and my stay at the Selene was worse than many stays I've had at properties costing half as much. The hotel has recently been refurbished, and looks like a modern hotel with the usual dark wood... more

Ok. I was on a tour and have no idea what we were charged for this place but it had to be too much. My room was old but ok if you can overlook the spongy matress, strong smell of old cigars, and the ancient carpet. Some of the people in our group were given rooms that had soot on... more

It takes at least 45 minutes to drive from downtown Rome to this hotel... and it is not an easy drive with so many turns and intersections. You will probably get lost and waste time if you are not familiar with local routes. We stayed there as part of group tour. The rooms are spacious but there is no night... more

Arrived at Hotel Selene, greeted by toothless man and woman with cat at the door to the building! Hotel was on third floor accessed by oldest lift in the world! Reception housed in the broom cupboard, despite this the staff seemed friendly. Overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke pervaded everywhere. Room was very clean, tidy and well appointed, but due to... more
