Positives: good location, clean rooms, nice personnel, decent breakfast. Frederikshavn is a beautiful, cosy town with nice citizens. Flaws: This is rather a hostel than a hotel. Rooms are tiny - really tiny. As for European like me it was enough, but a hint for American tourists: the room is a size of your walk-in closet. We were staying on... More

Dear Joanna We are very sorry to hear that the room you booked was not what you expected. We are fully aware that theese rooms are not in the same standard as the rest of the hotel, that is why we call them economy or budget rooms and the Price on theese rooms are lower than a standard room. However... More

We have never been in Frederikshavn and were choosing between Best Western and Hotel Jutlandia, and unfortunately we chose Best Western. There were to reasons for this, we did not know the town and from map we thought Best Western to be more central. However the town is so small there is about five minutes walk between them. The second... More

The rooms are very small , the toilets are only big enough for up to 6 years old children, no air because they dont want you to open the windows, beds are not comfortable. However at least the breakfast was good.

We spent 6 nights at this hotel in connection with a soccer tournament. We stayed in one of their "economy" rooms on the top floor under the roof. The room itself was comfortable, if a bit cramped. We had a roof skylight instead of a window, which added to privacy but not much to air circulation. The bed was extremely... More

I just had my second stay at this property. I was not disappointed. This is an excellent choice in the centre of Frederikshavn. The service is excellent, the rooms clean and functional, the location is excellent and the breakfast outstanding.

This is an old, but fully modernized and charming hotel in a great location. We had a very nice, large room, and the breakfast was excellent. The city centre is literally 2 minutes away. The cleaning could, however, be improved.

As the neighbours across the small street could look straight into our room, we had to close the dark curtains all the time to avoid them to enjoy the view.. Room itself was ok, but the hotel had problems with the internet. During our stay staff was not able to restore internet. The router would not give an IP address.... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel on a long trip from the UK to Norway. We only stayed one night, before boarding a ferry to Oslo. The staff at checkin were wonderful. We arrived very late at night, and they were super helpful. We had a lovely room which was spacious enough for 2 people. And lovely... More

The rooms are not very well isolated. You can pretty much hear everything that goes on next door and in the hall and in the street (truck deliveries at 5-6 am). On the pro side the rooms are new and fairly clean. The rooms are small and the bathroom is tiny. You almost have to back in to use the... More

We stayed here overnight in order to catch the Oslo ferry in the morning. I didn't like the website which insisted you pay fully in advance, but it was overall OK. The receptionist when we arrived was a middle aged male (different to some of the other reviews); he was perfectly friendly and helpful. Location is good, althrough there's not... More
