This was our 6th time to the Island, but our first time staying at the Narragansett Inn. The location was perfect, as we came from the New Harbor. We had our bikes, but we also walked to and from the Old Harbor one evening. The view from our room, as well as the restaurant were beautiful. Staff was pleasant and... More

Great view of all the boats in the harbor. They advertised a continental breakfast - assumed we would get coffee and a danish. We were welcomed to a complete breakfast buffet - eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes or french toast, muffins, coffee - nice surprise!

I cannot review the rooms because I didn't stay here but the dinner was absolutely delicious and you can't beat the view while dining on the outside porch. Gorgeous sunsets are to be seen. Definitely will return for dinner or just drinks.

The roof will keep the rain out and the showers work to get you washed up but don't expect anything resembling luxury. The walls are thin and you might want to bring your own sheets. If you can accept that before you arrive there is plenty to like especially the location. First, the Narragansett Inn is relatively inexpensive compared to... More

This place is a dump, no matter how you frame it -- "Rustic", "Island Experience", "Cozy" -- this place was disgusting. We didn't put our bags down before asking for our money back -- they said would work on getting our deposit back (a 19 year old who didn't understand/care why we were leaving), but now we're disputing the entire... Rustic OLD historical building, bare bones/no frills/no so pretty rooms, GREAT location. I had great service at the front desk and at the bar and restaurant, but the entire inn IS staffed with teenagers working there for the summer (I spoke with a few who said it's mostly students from Bulgaria, Serbia, etc). They were definitely distracted with each other,... More

I was taught that if you've nothing nice say, say nothing at all. I have to depart from this teaching in this case. The good thing I can say is that the Inn is consistent. The woman taking my reservation couldn't get anything straight no matter how slowly and clearly I spoke. She had to call me back a couple... More

Arrived on August 23, 2013 to find the shared bathroom was shared with seven other rooms. The shower and faucet was filled with soap scrub and mold and I thought the shower curtain had black spots for a design it was so filled with black mold. Breakfast was included both days. The eggs, sausage, homefries and pancakes were all cold... More

This is a typical Block Island stay - open air windows instead of air conditioning, no TV, etc. But the island is cool with a constant breeze, so the A/C is not needed. Additionally, the hotel has a beautiful deck that overlooks the water. The hotel is located just a short walk from town and remains a quieter choice for... More
