We had a lovely room in the clock tower wing which is single storey so no noisy neighbours above. Lovely spacious rooms with nice period furniture. Garden access from the room furniture to sit outside meant we could enjoy the sunshine in our own little space. We did not try the restaurant so can not comment on the food but... more

Had a great one night stay to celebrate my 40th Birthday. Very friendly staff. We had a superior double room. Large room with kingsize bed, small seating area and a massive luxury ensuite (with jacuzzi and huge walk in shower). Large flat screen tv, and a stereo which had speaker into the bathroom!!! Stayed here for a couple of nights in December on a business trip. The hotel, an old manor type house, is situated in nice grounds and from the information in the room, is constantly being refurbished and improved. The staff make this hotel; they're welcoming, helpful and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and the service from the breakfast staff 1st class. Beautiful hotel and grounds - shame the British weather didn't allow me to enjoy it! :o) more

We stayed here for a wedding on saturday and the staff made the whole experience really enjoyable. The rooms are quite old fashioned in that way that English hotels often are: funny heating, noisy plumbing and the walls are so thin that you can hear everything in the bathroom next door. Love this hotel. Have stayed elsewhere when stopping at Wokingham but keep coming back to this one! The Cantley House Hotel in Wokingham was a beautiful place to stay. The accommodations were exquisite. This country home was built in 1880 and was formerly the home of the Marquis of Ormonde. Very picturesque and romantic. And Folks....the restaurant on the premises, Milton's, was a gourmet treat in itself!
