Nice enough building and friendly staff. Food acceptable. However the room I stayed in (Room 2) was tiny, had hair on the floor and a toenail! Also the door did not lock meaning the key card issued was pointless.

Had a family meal here yesterday, (we love The Griffin, we've had our family get togethers here for years). As always, the food tasted delicious, but the portions have gone so small! Well, I suppose that there's method in their madness, room for a desert a desert...... Kerching! We were all fancying something else to eat when we left, one... More

I write to thank the staff of the Griffin for the excellent service that was shown at a family get together after a funeral. The catering provided was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble & even though the restaurant was due to open for business at six , no pressure was given to vacate the area. Very caring & respectful staff.

Stayed here last night after an 18th birthday party in St Helens. Lovely room, lovely staff, best sleep in ages and gorgeous breakfast. Excellent value for money too at £48 for the room plus £7.95 each for full English breakfast. Thank you The Griffin. We'll definitely be back!

I booked my elderly mother in for one night. £48 for the room is fine, but the room had a brown theme throughout but could have done with a touch of colour. Either some nice colourful pictures or a vase and flowers. Looked rather dull and cold when we opened the door. Also, there was no welcome really. All the... More

My partner & I stayed at The Griffin Inn for my birthday weekend break as it was handy for Knowlsley Safari Park and also for Liverpool. It's certainly a mixed bag! Overall, we had a very good stay, but as my family are in the hotel trade I can't help but look for/spot things that perhaps wouldn't bother other people.... More

Called in on the recommendation of a lady I was with. Made welcome by the main man. Not rushed into making any decision, which suits me , as I don't do rush. Bit busy with Christmas family groups still meeting up. Not a problem. Sky football on, so when I return , I will make sure that football isn't on.... More
