This is a very shabby hotel. There appeared to be some sort of refurbishment in progress. However this was not reflected in the hotel's pricing. First impressions were not good. Our room was tired looking. In particular, the furniture was tatty and in urgent need to replacement. Whilst the overall cleanliness of the room was reasonable , we had to... More

We needed to find somewhere to stay near Redditch for a family funeral. We know the adjacent hotel as we've had meals in there on several occasions. We looked around the area and finally settled on the Travelodge. We had worried about it being noisy as it's next to a busy A road. We needn't have worried, it is well... More

Its a Travel Lodge - and for that you expect a reasonable room for a fair price. And that's what we got. This particular Travel Lodge has not yet been updated to the new standard, and that does show and I have reflected this in the 4 rather than 5 star rating.... It does feel a little tired and whilst... More

Our reception was warm and welcoming. Public areas and corridors pleasant and fresh smelling. The great improvement in furnishings and decoration in bedrooms makes for a much more comfortable stay. The large bed was extremely comfortable.

We had a spacious room with comfortable beds and enough pillows. Plenty of tea, coffee and milk. The shower was powerful and the water was hot. The room was very clean. We enjoyed a meal at the carvery.

The staff were very friendly, could not do enough to help. We were next to the boiler room which was very noisy all night - room 111 - don't expect much sleep. The hotel is a bit dated but looks like it will get refurbed soon (painted - thats about it from experience)

Sadly the room didn't justify the price, first of all although we wanted single rooms we had to have a double each at £50 per room and if that wasn't bad enough the rooms looked tired the carpets needed changing and walls needed paint, totally different to the advert on t.v.

Stopped here for one night, the room was dated and looked grubby although it was clean and tidy. The rooms havent been refurbished yet the carpet was awful and the furniture old. The bed was clean but very lumpy resulting in a poor nights sleep. Facing the road there was traffic noise but thats not the hotel fault. I wouldnt... More

Perfectly clean and tidy Travelodge. Very small reception and no one duty on arrival (5 pm on a Saturday) or departure (9.30 a.m. on Sunday) so didn't appear very welcoming, though staff was pleasant when she arrived after buzzing for her. Price went up from £34 to £45 in a matter days from first looking to actually booking. A bit... More
