9 of us (ranging from 9 yrs - 80yrs!) just had the pleasure of 4 days at this beautiful hotel. We were welcomed like old friends & the amazing hospitality continued throughout our stay. Wonderful, comfortable drawing room with a roaring fire & each of the bedrooms were more like individual suites, with dining tables, sofas, dressing tables & fireplaces.... More

Lovely house and grounds, could do with some refurbishment, but it's got a rustic feel and was clean. All good until you eat. Don't bother, go to the nearby morrisons to get a sandwich or a salad, likewise breakfast. A two year old child is more proficient in the kitchen, it was that bad... The potential is enormous, it's a... More

I decided to surprise my mother to cream tea. It's indulgent but something anyone in their 70s loves. I must admit the price sounds awful at £15.50 each but wow. The food you get.. On tap tea or coffee.. Wonderful. Scones were lovely, I think in house baked. But rustic style. The cakes were wonderful. Flap jacks and the chocolate... More

Visited recently for afternoon tea. This is an old Manor House on the grand scale and is quite imposing from the outside. Excellent car parking. Greeted at reception and shown to an upstairs lounge, comfortably furnished and decorated. Our afternoon tea was excellent and the finger sandwiches and cakes delicious. Well done to the chef. We spent a relaxing 2... More

We spend 2 nights at Grafton Manor and had a lovely time. Breakfast was the only meal we ate in the hotel the breakfast is cooked to order and gives you a choice of how your egg is cooked (assuming you're having one). As my husband was working we ate very early (7am) so the breakfast room was fairly empty... More

Got married here in December 2014. The day was perfect - staff couldn't do enough, food (made in-house, not by external caterers) was delicious, rooms comfortable, grounds beautiful. Really can't fault the place. Came here for our menu tasting meal 6 weeks beforehand, when it was set up as a restaurant, and it was just as perfect. One of the... More

Went to a wedding on Saturday 4th July and it was simply perfect, the location, venue, etc makes an ideal place to have your Big Day, One sour faced Ukranian waitress that many guests commented on, but the rest of the team and owners were the perfect hosts. The whole place and chapel next to it is truly breathtaking. The... More

As a local, I've always been impressed by the lovely Grafton Manor Hotel. Unfortunately the food is lacking. On the recent Indian food festival, I felt the food was overpriced. In addition, I chose the chocolate / cardamom mousse desert & when I complained that the texture was gritty & not to my taste, I was not offered an alternative.... More

We chose Grafton Manor as our wedding venue principally as it is so close to our home (we live in the town), but we couldn't have chosen a better venue even if geography wasn't important. The staff were welcoming and very helpful - nothing seemed too much trouble for them - and the day passed off very smoothly and without... More
