A covenient stopover away from motorways. Only a room that is completely adequate but adjoining pub is a very busy local, not a place for a relaxing meal. However a very good Chinese takeaway around the corner ! There is a railway line adjacent but trains not frequent or noisy enough to cause any problem.

The staff are lovely, from the woman that greeted us to the cleaning staff. The price is very good for the larger bed that you get which is perfect for two people, a clean bathroom where the bath is a good size and the shower is alright. You get a tv with 5 channels, a desk with plenty of space... More

I stayed at this hotel when it was formally The Ladybird several years ago. What a difference now. It certainly has gone downhill since owned by Travelodge. First impression of room was that it looks tired and alittle shabby... but ok. Best thing in it was a decent bed. Bed was clean, well made and I slept comfortable all night.... More

stayed a few times, always a Friday night. For the money (£31 or less) I can't really complain about anything. I had a king size bed, huge room, TV, tea and coffee facilities and everything worked. It's a Travelodge, so you don't individual toiletries, but you do get dispensing shower gel and soaps. I got clean towels, clean bed linen... More

I have stayed here a couple of times when I've had meetings in Central Birmingham- being right next to the station, you can be in Central Birmingham within in 20mins (though trains aren't all that frequent). And a night's stay here is a lot cheaper than some of the hotels Birmingham itself. Rooms a spacious, beds are comfortable, and despite... More

Stayed here 2years ago & swore I would never visit again, the whole place was filthy with broken furniture. Found myself back there yesterday & what a difference. The room was spotless +++., new carpets & furniture & beds, only little moan was the awful pillows, but we were only there 4 one night. Breakfast in rosado was freshly cooked... More

nice, clean, very spacious room (we were 3 adults in 1 room). the extra bed (sofa) should better become a real bed. very very friendly service/reception. to bad for the very noisy fan in the bathroom.

Hotel good value. Comfortable, clean, hotel great value £99 for 2 nights stay. Rooms no29 and surrounding area outside noise due to rail works, but I got excellent nights sleep room not for light sleeper. Would stay again. no problem.

Stayed overnight as wife had early morning appointment at local hospital. Travelled down mid day, booked in ~4pm. Receptionist Elizabeth (Lizzie) very friendly and chatty - nice to find front of house person like this. Room up to standard - we had booked a family room to give us extra space - doesn't cost anything more - just make sure... More

Nothing like the usual format - except for the friendly staff. This is a traditional hotel with lovely large rooms. Nicely furnished (not your usual stark style), would definitely come back. Attached to a great restaurant.
