Looking for a restful two days? Looking for a delightful High Tea served in a lovely restaurant? Well give this Hotel a miss! Hotel is full of business delegates who are this Hotel`s patrons of choice which is fine but the Hotel should be honest about it before accepting bookings from couples! High Tea was NOT served in the Restaurant... More

Hotel looks great but the rooms are old and outdated. There is no AC in the hotel and if it's warm outside the windows don't do the job. Pretty from the exterior but would never recommend this hotel. We were there when a wedding was at the hotel and it was impossible to find a parking spot there

Dear Guest Thank you for your feedback after your recent stay at our hotel. I am sorry to hear that you found the hotel warm during your recent visit. When the last refurbishment took place a decision was made not to add air-conditioning. We do still have heating on within the hotel which can be turned down to a lower... More

The two of us stayed for two days here last month and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I especially wanted a twin room with disabled shower room. The wet room was the most attractive one I have usd and the room itself was spacious warm and comfortable. The meals in the restaurant were superb - Nick Nairn influenced - and we... More

stayed with my friend here for a girlie time away with spa facilities. Booked an executive room but in reality the room was very basic standard room in need of refurbishment so quite disappointing. The restaurant was really nice and food excellent. Breakfast was also really good. The staff all very friendly and helpful. Was particularly worried about the treatments... More

Bought an overnight deal which was very good value. Ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. The staff who are quite young were lovely, knowledgable about the hotel and very helpfull. However the one disappointment was the hotel bedroom which was located in the main part of the building. Dated and a bit tired. It... More

We had an itison deal for afternoon tea, with an overnight stay and breakfast. We also opted to have dinner in Nick Nairns Kailyard restaurant onsite. The afternoon tea was delicious and the perfect size for one person. We loved our room, it was spacious with modern decor and very clean. Dinner was very tasty, as a vegetarian there was... More

Special deal for an overnight stay with cream tea and meal at Dunblane 'Hydro'. Beautiful and imposing building. Stayed Sunday evening. Unfortunately didn't get into room until 4.00 but the cream tea made up for the wait. Stayed in the old part of the hotel, room was small but adequate, but was a little old fashioned, but perhaps fitting for... More

Old building set in beautiful grounds. Arrived around 3pm for a cream tea which was part of the itison deal. We had this in the restaurant. It was ok but nothing special. We then went to our room which was spacious and freshly decorated. The highlight was our evening meal, with recipes by Nick Nairn, we were served well by... More

This would have been a very grand hotel with lovely gardens and plenty to do and see but unfortunately it has been let down a little bit over the years and is not so grand although still has impressive gardens. We stayed on a DBB basis and I have to say the food in Nick Nairn's restaurant is fabulous. Every... More

We recently spent a night here on a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast basis. This is not a Hotel for couples in our experience but they certainly cater for Coach Parties!! The Dinner was disappointing - I had Prawn Cocktail to start with and they charge an extra 2.50 if you have 'sauce' with it. Personally I have never had one... More
