Unfortunately it was the little things that let down our visit. My friends and I were having afternoon tea and were placed at a table (in a relatively empty restaurant as it was at 2.30pm) where something had been splashed on the wall right next to us that could have easily been wiped down. Our table had a dead dried... More

Stayed for one night in aug. Still can't decide if I liked the hotel or not. It was clean enough & staff friendly enough & dinner good. But sat for over 3 hours for a meal although the food was ok not sure why the delay. The breakfast was ok So can't decide if I'd go back or not?

The Bruce hotel was allocated by our coach tour. The Staff did their Best to sort out Hiccups! they were really kind and helpful.Food and Rooms were average for a 3 star Hotel. Even though the rooms were serviced each day they were NOT Cleaned, for our stay. There was something unmentionable on the Wardrobe Mirror, that should have been... More

On a short break to the Edinburgh Tattoo, this is one of the worst hotels in which I have ever had the misfortune to stay. The coach company was excellent, but not this hotel. Our room was on the third floor and it was very dirty. The carpet and walls were heavily stained. The bathroom was desperately in need of... More

Apologies for not coming back to you sooner, as I have been on annual leave. Regarding the bins, The hotel had been in dispute with Clydesdale bank who have been refurbishing a unit to the rear of the hotel and our contractor Biffa could not gain access to uplift our bins. This has caused us much grief and expense. The... More
