I was a regular visitor to the Bruce hotel for drinks and meals before I left east Kilbride in the late 90s, now 15 years after I have returned to east Kilbride I was desperate to go back to the Bruce to see what it was like. First impressions when I walked in was that it looked like a well... More

My Friend and I use "The Bruce" often throughout the year for birthday celebrations, Tribute Nights etc and mostly for Pre Theatre meals and have to say we have always received well prepared food from very attentive staff. We have at times had to ask for a slight tweek to what is on the Pre Theatre menu and this has... More

A bit disappointing .Starter was a choice of soup as only the meagre remains of melon and the fish where on display .Ham and beef were nice pity about the hard half roasted potato .A good choice of sweet .Staff where very polite and were very busy in the largest room and seemed to have overlooked us a bit .With... Only stayed at the hotel for one night and was not impressed. The café was "open" but I was asked on two separate occasions if I could wait ten minutes until my table was ready? There were only two tables occupied, about six tables were empty. When eventually got the table, young lad serving was slow. He apparently was on... More

I stayed in this hotel for 6 days and was never warm. The location is excellent and close to the bus and train station and two minutes from a large shopping centre with all the high street shops. The room I had in the hotel had a very comfortable bed with clean linen and towels daily. Room was a good... More

If you are looking for great accommodation, food and attentive service, no other hotel in East Kilbride comes even close to this. Forger about the so called "boutique" hotels nearby. They come at a very high price. This is the jewel in East Kilbride's crown! Highly recommended!

Stopped here whilst working in the area. The hotel is attached to the shopping centre and if you drive into the basement car park it looks neglected, follow the sign for reception and you wonder what you've let yourself in for with stained carpets and a grubby appearance, but then you get to reception to find everywhere spotlessly clean and... We stayed for the tribute night (men of motown). We have stayed on a number of occasions for tribute nights and found the food and entertainment to be of a good standard. The staff are always polite and helpful. On Saturday 22nd, the food and entertainment were as expected, the room was just as bad as ever, mould in the... More
