If this hotel could be reviewed on staff alone it would be 10 put of 10 So helpful, friendly, accommodating the list is endless I stayed in a suite on the first floor. Lounge with wall mounted tv, dressing room, bathroom with cast iron bath and large shower. Bedroom extremely spacious with a king size bed. The hotel had many... More

This hotel was clean and had friendly helpful staff. Free WiFi. The food was reasonable for travel company tour prices, but one thing that needs to be addressed is that hot food NEEDS at least WARM plates NOT cold ones. Most of the 'touristy' things seem to be in, or the other side of, Glasgow, and as such take a... More

Dear Guest Many thanks for what was for the best part a terrific review. I have discussed the issue about warm plates with the whole team to prevent any recurrence in the future. Its so annoying to let you down for a lapse in such a basic discipline. Haste ye back!! Regards More

Booked a 1 night business stay in an executive double and glad it is only one night, room in dire need of updating, WiFi signal so weak in the room I was unable to get on line, window overlooked fairly major road so quite a bit of traffic noise, mould all around the bath tub and my laptop had a... Though the food in the hotel leaves much to be desired (often frozen and unpalatable), the excellent attitude of the staff towards customers more than makes up for it. I attended the event for the coverage of the 2015 general election, and the level of hospitality provided by the hotel was more than I expected, with free soup being offered... More

Dear Guest While I am delighted with your kind comments about the waiting staff in the hotel I feel compelled to respond to your other comments which require some clarification for anyone thinking of staying at the Bruce Hotel. Firstly we at the Bruce tend to serve freshly prepared food due to the fact we are not restricted by brand... More

Had a lovely meal in Guys with friends this week, food was very served freshly cooked and piping hot. Service was also excellent and all the staff were friendly and efficient with nothing being too much trouble, even the owner took time to make sure we were happy. Would def reccomend this and can't wait to return again soon

We are members of the Sodbury and Yate indoor curling groups and have recently returned froma trip to experience curling on ice staying at this hotel. The hotel could not have been more helpfull. There were 48 people staying in the group. They allowed us to use our own entertainment and arranged traditional Scottish entertainment plus extra Scottish traditions. The food... More

I stayed here recently as I was at a function in the hotel. The hotel looks like it has been refurbished and looks quite nice in the lobby area. The room was a good size, but the bed was very uncomfortable. I think it was quite old by the looks of it. The only problem we had was that the... More

I attended a family meal for 18 people here on a Sunday in March hosted by my elderly father prior to Easter. It was described as a two course meal but the reality was there was a Sunday Carvery on and this is what you got. The soup in a tureen was actually a very nice tasty lentil and vegetable... More

I have just been to the Sunday carvery for the first time and was very pleasantly surprised, the food was excellent with a choice of starters, 3 different roasts and plenty of vegetables and all the trimmings. Everything was piping hot, the meats were tender and the price included a half carafe of wine, all for £7.95. We even had... More
