Recently booked for a tribute night and overall was fabulous night and a happy atmosphere. The food was amazing, soup was excellent and beef the softest most succulent I've tasted for a long time. Dessert was to a particular taste but unfortunately not mine. Singer was good and my full group enjoyed themselves. Had a great night and would attend... More

Having stayed and dined. I am glad to say we will never be back. Having reserved a room online with my card,my fiancé arrived a couple of hours before me and tried to check in at reception. She was told by the gent on the desk that she couldn't check in as it my card details on the reservation. She... More

Dear Guest While I hold my hands up to the poor service you received in the restaurant for which I apologise on behalf of the hotel, I am somewhat surprised that someone who works in the hospitality industry is not aware that it is against banking practice to accept a credit or debit card from anyone other than the holder.... Receptionist very efficient (a smile would be nice). Grouting in bathroom disgusting, Bleach with a toothbrush could easily remedy this. We arrived for breakfast at 0910 and dining room was set for evening meal. The fried food was not even look warm it was COLD. After waiting 10min we eventually asked for coffee, we got our coffee but we were... More

Quite a nice hotel with small bar area, the hotel apparently has shows on in the main club room but i didn't see any of these only the advertising posters. The food is 'reasonable' but a bit on the bland side for me and the breakfast buffet tended to be a bit on the dry / over stayed side due... More

I visited The Bruce hotel today for an afternoon tea including prosecco with 3 friends. We often go out for afternoon tea and I have to say this has been the worst by far. It was not prosecco we received but some vile sweet liquid that tasted worse than Lambrusco. The sandwiches were appalling as the fillings were barely covering... More

Dear Guest Your comments in your first "sentence" sums it up for me as the foyer, lounge, restaurant & banqueting suites were refurbished less than 3 years ago with quality decoration and furnishings so to suggest that when you walked in you thought you "had gone back to the 70's the whole place is very dated and tired" is frankly... Just wanted to say what a fantastic night we had at the Hogmanay Party. The staff were fabulous and worked exceptionally hard. We loved the white gloves, a nice touch from the serving staff. The entertainment was also fantastic. Men of Mowtown were superb and the DJ played a great mix of music for all age groups. The food was... More

Me and my partner would just like to say we had a fantastic time from start to finish. Staff could not be any more accommodating from food to entertainment. Will definitely be back. The meal was great too and all staff knew exactly what they were doing.

Easy to find this hotel in the middle of EK, free parking underneath (Not a lot of spaces), staff were friendly and chatty which was very pleasant. attached to a shopping centre so easy to pick-up some post Christmas bargains. Yes the place needs modernisation but its clean, friendly and very reasonably priced. Didn't eat here so can't comment on... More
