Stayed here recently for a conference. A number of things could have been improved - person in front of me checking in was told - "your room is still dirty", Surely "your room is not ready yet" would have been better? Only one receptionist on duty when lots of people checking in, which meant a long delay for several people.... More

Hotel is in beautiful surroundings, very quiet and relaxing. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room was very light and comfortable, (although the outlook was of a flat roof with what looked like air conditioning units) but as we were only staying overnight it was not a problem. The bathroom was a good size with bath and shower.... More

We stayed here at the start of a trip around Scotland in August 2014. The hotel was easy to find, and set in a lovely quiet parkland making it very quiet. We were upgraded on arrival to a large room with a lovely view of the gardens. The room was clean and well equipped. The bathroom had a bath as... More

Had our silver wedding at the hotel last week and i could not fault the care attention and professionalism of all staff involved. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was spotless and were spoiled with added extras. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. my only disappointment was they were painting the outside of the building... More

We booked this hotel last minute to celebrate our anniversary. We stayed for 1 night on the 13 Aug. We upgraded to the premium double room and dinner (£20 each for 2 course when booked in advance) We received an hour long treatment each in the spa at a cost of £150. The room we had was immaculate with a... More

One of the worst hotels ive visited, the lobby is small and uncomfortable. the worst thing was the room, it was dark, dirty and the bathroom floor was covered in pubes and hair. The view was the wall of the next building. But one has to admit the good quality of the spa and leisure area.

Picked up a last minute spa special overnight package to celebrate my Wee Sister's Special (big) Birthday. Not planned as she was given a trip abroad for a present , but the spa manager took the trouble to call me at 10 pm the evening before we arrived to make sure everything was in place to ensure she'd the best... I recently attended Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with two of my children. We stayed at the Macdonald Crutherland House. In the morning I asked Helena and Natalie what they liked best and they said the Athletics, the restaurant and the hotel. They said it was the best they had ever stayed in! The Hotel was beautiful and all the staff... More

WE DIDN'T STAY AT THIS HOTEL We only booked the Spa day. It was suppose to be on the 26th July but didn't take place till the 3rd August so off to a bad start. There are plenty of Spa staff but No one seems to want to take responsibility for anything. Lunch was Lovely. We had an Afternoon Tea... More

I last stayed in this hotel for several weeks on business in the 1970's, when it was privately owned by a gentleman who'd just won a bronze medal in the Commonwealth Games in New Zealand. On his return he opened the "Bronze medal Bar" as an extension. I think it fair to say that both the hotel and I have... More
