I found the hotel to be very friendly and cleaner than mainy hotels i have stopped in including 4/5 star hotels. Hotel room was a standard room which suited me for 6 nights, but i did check out the superior rooms with air condioning, fridge and balcony etc which i would go for next time. The only down side i... more

Fantastic hotel - Booked through Laterooms.com & paid about 28 euro's per night for the room. No swimming pool but it is only a 10 min walk from a sand beach! There is breakfast included which is continental (bread, cheese, ham, jams, cereal etc....) Rooms were basic but great for the price & the hotel staff were all sooooo friendly!!... more

Was originally meant to be staying in the Dragonara Apartments but had the room changed when I found out I was pregnant and Dragonara is too close to the night life. The room is small and cosy but there ws no balcony, air conditioning, Fridge or kettle. However there is free wifi and there were 2 fans in the room... more

Stayed at Alfonso in April and have to say I was not very satisfied. First to mention the price. For 35 Euros a night you can get a much better deal - even a 4 star hotel in Bugibba. My room was clean, but the bed was an absolute horror. No balcony, no full view mirror ( a must for... more

Just came back on April-24-09. Booked on line got there the beds were HORRIBLE ! In fact I think they were just box springs. Booked two rooms one internal and one "Superior". My daughter is a student in Europe and stayed in Hostels better than the inside room. There was nothing "Superior" about the "Superior" room. It had three single... more

Just booked this hotel again for the 3rd year running. We found it through Trip Advisor and are glad we did. Yes it's true that the rooms are basic, but then again so are the rates. My partner and I like to have a double room, but the room we keep returning to is a twin. On the first night... more
