This hotel was, for me, a real find on Batam which is my weekend escape from Singapore. There is something stately and gracious about Goodway, especially the very spacious rooms. The venue is old, but has been well cared for over the years and remains in sound order. Rooms are clean, staff are friendly and polite, breakfast was aimed at... More

To have a fast and hustle free check in is every travelers expectation. During check in process, was really smooth. Reception staff was very friendly. The room is out of date (What can we expect?) but this is not it... as I am not really typical of complain guests. Until that moment... Breakfast time. The sausages, fresh fruit platter, toast,... Nothing fantasic about this hotel, except of friendly staff. Air con was not cold had to get them to check, booked a deluxe room with them, room was consider big, toilet is fine, but balcony is very dirty, not inviting at all... Pool looks old & dirty not a bit of relaxing at all. Breakfast was fine, but upon arriving... More

The pricing, the service, quality of food (both room service and breakfast) is all fair to good. The restaurant was packed full at breakfast time on a weekday, so it's probably better to go before or after the rush. I actually had difficultly finding a table and had that amusing experience of losing my table to someone when going back... More

Breakfast was good - they have an omelette station which makes very yummy and appetizing omelette because the chef added chili padi into the egg mix. The door man was very polite and helpful. Reception staff were very efficient and knowledgeable. Checking in and out of the hotel was done swiftly and the recommendations given from the reception staff on... More

I was staying here a few years back. Old hotel but good maintainence. The room was big come with bathtub. From hair drier to safety box they provided. The food is nice but rather expensive. The free breakfast was good too. Many choices. This Hotel last time was Mandarin hotel. Used to be cemetery. But so far.. Nothing happen to... More

This hotel is just a 10-15 way away from Nagoya Hills.Ideal for light travellers who need to purchase shampoo, conditioners & such.Even though it was on the day of eid, we manged to get our massage & spa done. The single beds were comfortable enough for two so family with a child need not request for extra bed.As it was full... More

+ An old hotel with a positive location approx 10 mins walk to Nagoya Hills shopping centre. Though the hotel will push for taxi services, walking there is easy and along the road. A short, non-challenging walk leads you directly to the entrance of Nagoya Hill Mall. + Hotel receptionist and concierge are pleasant and polite especially the latter. Very... More

Paid about USD75/night; stayed 3D2N with my in-laws and 7yo kid. Receptionist spoke reasonably good English. Room is on the 3rd floor, overlooking the pool. All rooms are smoking rooms; no 'non-smoking' rooms. Furnishings indeed old (as many reviews here stated). Bed is pretty soft and caused me quite bad backaches. Furnishings in the washroom are really pretty old and... More

During a recent visit back to Batam, I wanted to be close to the Nagoya area where I used to live. I looked at another place first, but it was ridiculously overpriced (might have been due to it being mid Ramadan and related celebrations). So I found Goodway had a reasonable rate and it's basically across the road from the... More
