This hotel has changed from the rather dated tired place it was to a better looking and better value economy hotel. A comfortable bed and an excellent accessible bathroom with lots of handrails in the right places. A very good shower and a non slip floor which really is. The doors of course are the same and so is the... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and couldn't fault it in anyway. The only thing that could have been better was the access for walking into Alfretton,we were told to go to the end off the car park and follow the path and go across 2 planks off wood which would take us onto a path at the roundabout.We... We stayed here for one night after a wedding. No frills, but for 25 pounds for the night it was very good value! A little dated, but better than other Tavelodge hotels I've stayed in. Check-in was open all hours, which was great for us. Air conditioning would have made the night a lot more comfortable - the rooms get... More

I am staying here for 2 nights whilst on a 3 day training course, this wasn't my first or second choice, the other hotels had no availability. The room itself was clean but very basic, the decor very 70's. The carpeting throughout the corridors and in the room had seen better days, the flooring in the bathroom looked grotty in... More

Overall the hotel is good and great value for money, but there are a few things that mean that stops it being great. The useful location is also one of this hotels problems. If you are on the side facing the road there is some traffic noise. This will be a problem if you are a light sleeper, particularly if... More

Stayed for one night as I had a meeting in the morning and didn't want the commute. Fairly cheap and I got what I paid for: a clean budget room. The mobile reception was quite poor but apart from that I had a good nights sleep.

The staff here are excellent. The place has been modernized so ignore all old comments about this place. A great place to stay, a good nights sleep and great staff. Dr Lister (Travel Agent) ABTA 3832 www.excaliburtravel.co.uk

Booked a room as I had an interview first thing and didn't want the hassle of a 90 minute motorway journey before it. Made a mistake in booking - booked the Saturday night instead of the Sunday - but the excellent chap on reception swapped everything over with no fuss. Big thanks to him! Room was what you would expect... More

A short distance from the M1, excellent place to break our journey, the room was clean and tidy, though the chairs were looking a little tired. Bed super comfortable and friendly welcoming staff. Lots of hot water and bathroom was clean.

Had a good stay in this Travelodge, rooms were of a good quality, and very clean. The service at reception on arrival was excellent. Easy to find Travelodge with a Little Chef next door. Carpark could do with a resurface but other then that excellent!..
