stayed in the Marriott Cheshunt overnight 20th June, 2009. Firstly. noticed that one of the pillows was foul-smelling; secondly, found an electric light partly detached from the wall fitting, with bare wires; thirdly, had to put up with the churlish rudeness of shabir, who purported to be the 'front office day manager'...sad!!! ...this 'gentleman' tried to fleece me for £20... more

For a four star establishment this hotel is severely lacking. Whilst the staff are generally friendly and willing, there's a lack of consistency when it comes to actually making things happen. The staff member who took my booking happily allocated me a garden view room without requesting a supplement, however the room was below par, having a slightly odd arrangement... more

I reached the hotel at 11.30pm was late for and i was tired, the check in was quick as the staff took very little time to get me settled, after quick shower, the bathroom was nicely decorated with wall paintings, the bar was still open and i had a quick snack of fried fish, fries, sandwich and beer. i loved... more

I was very very disappointed in this supposedly 4 star luxury hotel. I think it should fall within a 3 star rating. I booked through bookings.com a 7 day advance included breakfast. This was queried twice and dispelled at reception when I checked in. The voucher confirmed breakfast and a photocopy was taken. The hotel itself is tired, not the... more

Clean, friendly great place for families as there is a pool. Staff were helpful and friendly. Drinks at the bar were a bit pricey. more

We booked a room for a relaxing friday nite away after a hard couple of weeks at work, arrived and had a drink in the bar to find a family with two kids running around and play fighting with the chair cushions and blowing out the candles on the table (i know this is not the hotel fault), my partner... more

we have been to this hotel a dozen times,it never gets boring, its great. me and some of my family recently went. Our room was nice and spaceouse (what you would expect from a marriott). the hotel entrance is nice and modern greeting you in a nice way. The breakfast buffet was nice, as usual, and the only thing bad is... more

Booked this hotel last minute as it was the only room available in the area. It was absolutely first class, couldn't fault the room, the service or the food. more

As a marriott member I've stayed in quite a few worldwide of their group hotels. Physically they are all pretty standard and you know what to expect on the whole. However when it comes to service this can vary greatly and I'm afraid that although the room - a superior king size - was decent well appointed and clean (although... more

Having stayed at the Marriott Canary Wharf (5 star) the previous Saturday, decided to give another Marriott a try. Booked on the hotel website as this is the best rate and went for DB&B. Check in quick, voucher for dinner (£20 pp) - no benefit in booking DB&B financially as compared to B&B. Room clean, and reasonable size but a... more
