Visited here around 8 months ago, didn't order food or stay due to the disgusting state of the toilets. Returned this weekend (airshow weekend) although there had been steps to try and improve these they chose to paint them on the Friday of Sunderlands busiest weekend. A lot of complaints were made by customers and ourselves due to ruined outfits.... More

Well this is my first review, so here it goes. We looked everywhere for a facility for family and friends to gather after our daughters christening. We went to pubs, clubs and specialist venues around Sunderland and only one stood out! Only one had character. Only one had a supreme location. Only one had a purpose built room for such... More

Me and my niece recently stayed at The Pullman for one night having travelled from Devon and made to feel really welcome. Shamus greeted us on arrival, 'what a lovely man'. Told us all about the hotel and there is more updating to be done, which I am certain will be a big bonus for the Hotel. We later met... More

We arrived (11/07/15) and headed to the bar as the reception was shut (2pm). The look of the bar was the highlight. Very classy and nice layout. Wasn't what we expected from the tired looking outside. We were then greeted by Sheamus whp was very friendly and chatty and he showed us to our room. This is where it goes... More

I honestly dont know where all of the bad reviews come from for this place. Last minute booking for a night by the sea. Arrived to be greeted by Seamus, who I can assure those reading a previous review, is far from obnoxious. Hugely welcoming and attentive. The room is the definition of value for money. Like home from home.... More

Stayed here for 1 night recently and had a great time. the rooms could do with a little loving care and a few more power sockets and a mirror in the room for ladies getting ready/make up and hair. The bar is great with friendly staff I had a 3 course meal for £9.95 and it was tasty and great... More

The Pullman is a hotel and venue which has a lot of character and personality. Using old train carriages within its structure, the place has a great atmosphere for all sorts of events and meetings. There are sixteen rooms, either family sized or single. Each room is good in size and comfortable albeit slightly tired looking. It suits the purpose... More

Great hotel, great staff, fantastic value, bar/restaurant is out of this world I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area now I've found this hidden gem! Shamus and his team make this place a warm friendly place to be. As I say I'd 100% recommend this place to anyone for any type of visit. Thanks for your hospitality!

I stayed at the pullman with my mum for one night. I have to say it was short but very sweet. The whole place was beautiful aswell as the little town itself being so lovely. The owners/staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was more than big enough and the bathroom was again lovely. I will say the room... More

My mother, my two children and myself visited yesterday for our Sunday lunch. We were looking for somewhere nice but a little bit different for the children. We havent been before for a meal but we definitely made the right choice. Ample parking at the rear of the Pullman, through the beautiful ballroom and into the carriages where lunch is... More
