Room was good, clean and comfortable, was informed that the chef was ill so there would be no breakfast available, in fact when I booked out I had to hide the key near reception because no one was around. Ate in their pub at night meal was nice and I requested a VAT receipt that is where it all went... More

My husband and I stayed at The Pullman for two nights while visiting family locally. The rooms are fairly basic but very clean and newly updated. The bathroom is modern with a lovely, high pressure shower. We were the only guests staying there on both nights so it was very quiet while sleeping. We had breakfast both mornings, cooked by... Stayed for one night with my wife on her Birthday after "virtually" sticking a pin in a map to pick somewhere... We'd only visited Sunderland once for the Air Show, so this looked like an opportunity to revisit. The plan was to stay here, nip into Sunderland for the evening and then return to the hotel at the end of... More

Arrived Friday afternoon after a 5 hour journey to find the room ready and waiting for us . Room was lovely , large double bed for us and a single for our daughter and best of all was dog friendly, clean crisp sheets , soft towels and generally clean and tidy. Our only complaint was a cracked window pane and... More

Stayed a week here with my boyfriend, upon arrival we were suprised by the nice big size of the room and the bathroom. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, especially at breakfast on our first morning we were half an hour late as we weren't sure what time it was on until, and interrupted Seamus having his own... Really friendly people. Check in great and a drink in the bar was good and nice chat with the person who served us. The room is a good size and nicely decorated. A little issue in that the telly is quite small and because it's a long room it's quite far from the bed so difficult to see from the... More

This was a little disappointing if I'm honest as I was expecting great things from this hotel. Its set in a beautiful location on the seafront and has a unique railway theme allowing you to have a good meal in an old train carriage. The food is reasonably priced and of a good standard, It also has a well stocked... More

Had the fish & chips with minted peas & it was quality just £6.95. The chips were homemade & like potatoes really nice & filling. Great fast service, though it was a quiet rainy afternoon. Defo go back 👍

Stayed here for the weekend for the great north run. Given a really warm welcome by Seamus the owner who was the perfect host all weekend. Went the extra mile, took an interest in us and always had time to chat and make us feel at home. The place is fab with breakfast served in an original orient express carriage... More
