I stayed here for one night and I was impressed. The owner was friendly and welcoming, My room was a nice size and the bathroom was clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was a large full English and other options were available. Overall - great value for money and I'd highly recommend staying here

Stayed here for the Sunderland Air Show. Tucked away just off the main road, (ideal for a quiet night's sleep) there is a nice little pub next door (Harbour view). The manager was very friendly and approachable. Great value for money. My only complaint was breakfast was served for only a short period of time (9 to 9.30) but the... More

I have stayed here twice and I had a very comfortable stay both times. The rooms are nice and the en-suite bathrooms are well kept and of a decent size. The owner is great, he serves an excellent breakfast and is very helpful.

I have stayed here over several weeks while working locally and have found the rooms to be clean, warm and comfortable. The owner, Tony, is very helpful and provides an excellent full English breakfast, which makes a great start to the day.

Always a cheery welcome and hearty breakfast. You won't be disappointed with the hospitality or accommodation; Tony has it sorted! Excellent pub next door, but no noise. The Tavistock Italia Retro Restaurant is only across the road and offers good food at reasonable prices. Looking forward to next years visit!

Yet another great stay at Tony's. We stay every year for the Great North Run as it is not in Newcastle but handy to transport. Tony is very accommodating and a great host - warm welcome, good food, clean beds, reasonable price - what more could you ask for? Will be back next year.

We chose to stay at Roker View after reading reviews and we wasn't disappointed. The room we stayed in with the four poster bed was so comfy and the room was clean and warm. The breakfast was excellent, Tony looked after us so well and we will be going back again soon.
