The owner Mario is very helpful, and if you are lucky he will play guitar for you, singing typical sicilian songs. But, what you HAVE to do here is... More

We came on a daytrip by car from Pollina looking for a lunch. Even if we showed up unnoticed Mario our host quickly arranged with a fabuolus lunch. Homemade vine and olive oil. Fantastic antipasto we will never forget. Setting was great with view of Pollina Mountain and Blue seaside. Our kids received gift of fruits when we left.

We arrived at Casale Margherita after an all day mountain bike ride and were greeted by Mario with a cold beer. Very nicely appointed rooms but as almost everywhere else in Sicily, the water pressure in the shower left to be desired. This was fast forgotten as Mario showed us where he gets his wild fennel and asparagus from which... More

We spent a wonderful 4 days at Casale Margherita. Our room, with a view of the magical Roman hill top town of Pollina, was splendid. Spacious, comfortable and warm we found our room to be just what we wanted. Mario and his family we more than hospitable. The food and wine were first class. This little property tucked away among... Casale Margherita is set high on the mountains outside Palermo- a beautifully rebuilt house ,with much careful attention to detail -both in its interior rooms and in the patios/loggias surrounding the house. Set in olive groves in silent splendour looking straight over to mystical Pollina and with clear views of the sea!! Mario 's warmth and generosity of time and... More
