Having follow a group of travellers , this hote wasn't my choice so I have had to take it. First but not least worst experience was a cold shower. Bathroom was quite dirty with some hair stuck on the tiles, soap was running out and the room was cold with the external temperature nine degrees. Later, while my wife tried to... More

Stayed for one night. Helpful staff, plus for early check-in. Classy, traditional hotel with modern facilities. Both dinner and breakfast buffé had wide variations with extra gluten-free and lactose-free alternatives. Make sure to enjoy the jacuzzi outside while you are there, it has a beautiful view over Geilo! The pools inside are also worth a visit. Short walk to the... More

Stopped at this hotel on our tour through Scandanavia. Older hotel, nicely kept up, but does show it's age. Enjoyed the pool and spa, closely located to smaller shopping area in ski resort town. Service was good, food was decent.

Such a pretty location! Yes the hotel is older style but it feels very comfortable and seems to suit the location. Not sure what it might be like in winter as our stay in June was very pleasant as we could even open our window to take in the fresh mountain air. We had a buffet dinner in the restaurant... More

We were on our way from Oslo to Gudvangen for a Fjord Cruise and thus spent a night in Geilo at this hotel. This is a popular ski resort but are quiet in Mid July. Quite an old hotel which is shown from the room, bathroom, lounge, restaurant, etc. I would say, however, that it is a classic rather than... More

A grand older hotel, good sized rooms, although the ensuites are small. Nice views from our upper floor room, opening windows, comfortable bed. A five minute walk to the small shopping area. Courteous helpful staff. We could hear our neigbours in their bed rooms on both sides which was annoying - very thin walls with no sound proofing. Usual buffet... More

It is quite old hotel but still keep good standard. The hotel is kept very clean, whole staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are are nice and comfortable. Unfortunately there are some minuses - no minibar and tea/coffee in the room. The isolation of rooms is poor so if you have a noisy neighborhood you have a bad... More

This is one of those older, ultra comfortable hotels. Lounges to pick and choose, one overlooking the beautiful views of Geilo, a dance floor and piano music after dinner, a beautiful library and a massive dining area. There is a spa available to guests, with a Jacuzzi outside and inside, 2 indoor pools, sauna and spaces to relax outside or... More

We arrived by train, breaking the trip between Oslo and Bergen. Reception was very friendly but when my husband tried to change the room to a double, he was told all the rooms are twins and the beds would be pushed together while we had dinner. Dinner was OK but expensive for a gristley steak. When we arrived back to... More

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel just a couple of days back. Great check in with a award winning smile. I had a single room as i was travelling just by myself. Room was heated with single bed, Clean, tidy, bedroom with telly, roomservice, the shower was great but small. Bedroom view looked onto the snow dusted mountain as... More
