Wow, what a great place to stay. Good value, warm log cabins which are very comfortable . From brochures they look less like log cabins, but are indeed great cabins. Short drive from slopes. Three areas to explore, so a car is handy but not essential. My two young boys live Geilo and we have returned many times .

Rented a small cottage for a night traveling by Geilo. Price was fairly low. In that light the quality was ok. But the fridge was useless as it was very dirty. A bit lot walking distance to center of Geilo. Located close to a main road and a railroad track going through Geilo.

There was still snow and ice outside in May, so it was really nice to arrive in a preheated warm and dry mini-cabin. There is everything you need (style IKEA): te and coffea boiler, ustensils in the kitchen, high quality oven and hotplate, flat TV... Our cabin (Hytte nr.18), is of the smallest kind, but it was enough for 2-3... More

Found this place the HI hostel website, and it was amazing value: actually nothing like a hostel, consisting of a number of wooden chalets, of different sizes: very clean, modern facilities (including Wifi throughout, from February 2015), warm and cosy. I stayed here on two separate occasions. It is a family business, and the young guy on reception told me... More

Our family of 2 adults and three kids aged 5,6,and 7 stayed for 5 nights during February 2015. We stayed in a 4 bed cabin (25m2) which was warm and comfortable and not as cramped as we might have imagined (2 kids shared a bunk). The staff were very relaxed and cordial and the owner even took the kids out... More

Stayed for one night in January and was impressed by the standard of the cabin (2 beds). I heard that it had been refurbished, and it was certainly very Nice. Clean bathroom, plenty of hot water, small kitchenette with most of what you need, large TV with about 30 channels, comfortable bed. Everything worked ok in the apartment, and the... More

Disappointed by how dirty & rundown the cabin was, in comparison to the cleanliness of the Gol Campingsenter we stayed at before. Nowhere else in Norway did we experience dirty conditions, in fact we were impressed with how clean and well-kept cities, countryside, hotels, restaurants, boats, etc. were. Mattresses were uncomfortable, dishes and pot and pans were adequate, shower was... More
