My husband and I stayed here for one night in June 2013. The rooms were nice enough, but this was a difficult spot for someone who is mobility impaired. The woman ahead of me at check-in was using a walker; she was assigned a room that required climbing at least 4 stairs and then either up or down another long... More

This hotel is situated on a lake and is of top quality as were the rooms. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and there was plenty to see in the immediate area including a small island accessible by a wooden bridge. The food was excellent and staff were very attentive to our needs, rooms were spacious and clean and the... More

Great location! The best food in Norway with a beautiful presentation - especially the desserts! A large deck overlooking the lake will accommodate many that wish to visit, relax and have a cool drink. The shower in the bathroom is definitely Norwegian - for handicapped accessibility? There was water and soap all the way over to the toilet! It would... More

This was a one night stay that was very enjoyable, I checked in with the friendly staff, then sat awhile, and I had many choices, sofa or chairs, indoors or out, or a walk by the lake. Then I enjoyed one of the best meals ever, with the freshest tasting fish, and roast turkey with numerous side dishes! The dining... More

I really enjoyed staying in this place. I accidentally booked the room for the wrong night and the staff quickly helped me out. I thought the room was really nice. The breakfast was great and the overall ambiance good. I would definitely stay here again.

Only had one night here, seems like a nice enough spot, didn't get a chance to check out the town. The room was ok, didn't have a view, you would need to be up on the highest floor for that, the room was a bit noisy though. Could only get warm water from the shower, not good, Wi Fi was... More

A hotel that seems to survive through its lakeside location and pretty exterior only. Inside is dated, worn, room was so small I had trouble navigating around my bed, restaurant staff claimed they were busy whilst standing visibly for minutes just chatting to each other, etc.

Very nice hotel string by a small lake. Very good food here too. Also has a bar and outside seating . Easy walk to downtown shopping too. Historic folk museum within walking distance. Huge buffet, salad and dessert bar. Older hotel but maintained well.

We stayed at this hotel on 07/02, then again on 07/08 - 07/10 2013 while visiting Norway. We were in Oslo prior to 07/02, then went to Bergen for a few days, then to the Walaker Hotel, also, before returning back to the Quality Fagernes Hotel. We live in Texas and were in Norway to meet relatives of my husband.... More

I stopped here overnight on the way to Oslo from Bergen but I can see that this would be a lovely spot to spend a few days. The hotel backs right onto the water and has a lovely garden and even a little island to explore. It has many comfortable lounge and bar areas, a swimming pool and other wellness... More
