My husband and would rate this stay as one of our best trips ever. We camped at the Eplet for 8 nights. The staff was very friendly, the accommodation was nice and clean, and there were many outdoor activities to choose from. Whenever I feel stressed these days, I just imagine myself back at Eplet! Eplet really hit the spot. Norway is so expensive that a couple of days time out in Eplet was just what we needed to restore our love of the country. Great facilities... loved the sheep... all very very relaxing. The cafe in the village is great - the pizzas are delicious. The ferry across to urnes was great and borrowing... More

Trond and his staff, Marie and Linda, provide a "home" atmosphere. You really do feel at home and don't feel pressured to purchase anything aside from the internet access. They are genuinely kind, caring, and generous. The location is second to none. The rooms are small in case you haven't read that from the other reviews and the bathroom is... More

My family and I stayed at Eplet for 3 days in August 2011. It was a great location for doing excursions around the area. All the staff were extremely nice and helpful. We met people for all over the world and truly enjoyed our stay. It was our first experience staying at a hostel, and would now have the courage... More

We stayed there for 2 nights - first night we stayed in a dorm and a tent on second night. The tent was all setup and the nice surprise for us (who weren't really used to be camping on holiday) was that there were mattresses on a wooden frame so we weren't really camping, but that suit us very well.... We had never stayed at a hostel before and didn't know what to expect and we were so happy we chose to book this wonderful hostel for 6 nights. We had a double room in the main house and shared a bath and kitchen with other travelers. The host, Trond, makes the living room and dining room of his house... More

A little private bed and breakfast in the hidden little town of Solvorn on the Sognefjord, what this place lacks in publicity it makes up for in things to do. The grounds alone have an awesome minigolf course, slack line, free mountain bikes, and dozens of other activities to keep you busy in a town that has one cafe and... More

Good location, good atmosphere among guests, friendly owner and staff but too busy with the fruit farm, fruit prices above market, rooms a bit poor and not clean enough! Marketing driven: free computer access in exchange for recommendations on facebook! A bit hyped! Still overall OK More

We normally don't like to stay in hostels but this was definitely and exception. Everything is clean, well organized, makes sense. We stayed in a private room and camped. We picked veggies from the garden and cooked in the kitchen. There is an unbelievable view from the porch. It is also very easy to do things like hiking, glacier walking... More
