They refurbished an old bank building into this hotel. It's near the waterfront of Haugesund and also close to the shopping street. There are lots of restaurants close at the hotel. Parking is nearby at an acceptable rate. Staff was friendly, rooms are nice, with high ceilings. They served an excellent breakfast with a great choice in cold and hot... More

I was very impressed with this hotel, the staff were so friendly and helpful. the breakfast was great, very fresh and tasty, not a hug variety but what was there was really good. The rooms were a little small but that's not unusual for Norway. The beds were very comfortable, rooms modern and very clean. The building was very nice,... More

The hotel itself is very nice and looks amazing inside. The room was alittle small and for the price i paid it was hard to swallow !!! Lots of bars and eating places 200 yards down the road and there is something for everyone. Bar and food prices are Very high so be prepared to pay anything from £6 up... More

An elegant conversion, but the rooms are tiny! My room on the 5th floor had sloping walls and lots of beams to hit your head on. The "desk" was about a foot square. Wifi worked OK for me, also phone reception. The shower room was fine except again, not much space to stand upright. The TV had no English language... More

I had a business trip to Haugesund in Norway and stayed at the Henderson city Hotel, the hotel was formally a large bank and is very close to the quayside where most of the city restaurants are situated. The hotel itself is cosy and clean with very pleasent staff. The rooms are nice and comfortable and reasonably priced. The hotel... More

I was a little suprised. I expected more from such a high rated hotell. The rooms were ok, mine was quite small, but they need to upgrade their WiFi, I didn't get any conections in my room. The tv wasn't really that good either, but it was as hotel tv channels usally are. The breakfast was normal hotell standard, it... More

The hotel has a central location in Haugesund town centre. I was given a single room which was small, but there was no problem in changing this for a double room with more space after contacting reception. I see some customers have complained about lack of parking, but this was not a problem as there are a number of public... More

The old bank building is renovated to a nice looking boutique hotel. The rooms are great, but small. I have stayed at the hotel many times and I enjoy my stay each time. Good breakfast and free snacks at the after noon.

A visit to Haugesund requires a hotel for most tourists. The "First" hotel is my reccomendation. Rooms are newly refurnished and the whole place seems new and modern. Breakfast is included, and hotel beds are great (Jensen beds)! Parking is limited outside the hotel but there are NO difficulity to find a spot you can park your car.

First hotel I've come across that offers free soup, bread and salad each evening! This in addition to tea/coffee and pastries and fruit all day, meant we didn't need to buy dinner it was such a substantial meal. Staff very friendly, beautiful Impressive small foyer with chandelier; very comfortable. Once upon a time a grand bank, complete with modern guest... More
