A magical place. A winter wonderland at the end of a road to nowhere. The staff cannot do enough for you, and the food was hearty, tasty and plentiful. Cakes and fresh biscuits at 4.00 pm (baked daily) were a real highlight. We ate communally, and enjoyed the united nations family style meals a great deal. As it’s both high... More

We visited here between christmas and new years, the most amazing stay we could imagine. We booked with Northern Lights in mind but went with no expectations, could not believe the show we saw on the 2nd night! Incredible to have caught it, there were lights every night of varying amplitude but the 2nd night we were really treated to... More

I cannot fault a single thing about ongajok mountain lodge, it is perfect in my eyes. The last few km was a bit bumpy but it wasn't in anyway a problem for us. It's only a short distance and has stunning views on the way. We stayed on our honeymoon and done a package. Unfortunately for us there wasn't quite... More

I write this review to warn all future travelers to think twice before you book! Fortunately I was only here one night and It was enough .. I was greeted by a person rude and unhelpful that assaulted me for the arrival time, in spite of the notice in the reservation. Quality price structure completely out of business despite the... Dear Max S, we always appreciate all reviews. It is from the most negative reviews we can learn the most. When I read your review, I was a little bit confused. I tried to find your booking in our booking system; I searched by first name, by initial of the last name, by city and by country. I literally checked... More

First the drawbacks - the final 4km on the road South is bumpy and potholed. We made in fine in a Volvo in the summer though, and apparently it's better in Winter. - the rooms have en suite bathrooms but a communal shower block attached to the sauna. This is probably nice in winter but was quite hot in summer... More

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your lovely review. And yes, we know it is a bumpy road (at least the last 3.7 kilometres) - but we are trying to solve this issue. In the meantime we have a video on YouTube (search for "Ongajok") to show our guests what they are up to. Some of our rooms have... More

This is a fantastic place. Henning, the host, is a great guy, who is really helpful, and we had a wonderful holiday. The farm is in a lovely valley, between a river and some hills. When we visited, in late March, the river was frozen and the hills were covered in deep snow. We had fun exploring the area in... More

If you can get to Alta-you must visit this resort. By far the most incredible experience in my life. The northern lights were incredible but the Lights sitting in a wood burning hot tub, full of king crab legs and wine and incredible company-top notch! I will visit again if I have the opportunity.

Ongajok is a fantastic place to stay. The rooms were always warm and cosy, despite outside being quite chilly, and the location was amazing! Snowy peaks and a beautiful winter wonderland with a brilliant host and his wonderful team that supplied us with just out of this world food and memories which will never be forgotten!! This, for me, was... More

We stayed only one night at Ongajoksetra, but it was the highlight of our trip to Alta and the surrounding area. We did a long expedition on snowmobiles out on the high plains, riding over frozen lakes and seeing some amazing sights, including a bit of aurora activity on our way back. Back at Ongajoksetra, once we had thawed out,... More

The farm is like a secret hideaway from it all. It is set in a beautiful environment and a very quiet and calm ambience. The rooms are functional and supposed to give a rustic feel ( although we didn't stay overnight) .The whole farm is designed and decorated in such a way as to give you a homely feel. The... More
