I am writing this review listening to the telephone conversation from the next room, just as people next to my room must have enjoyed listening to my Skype call earlier on this evening. Yes, you have guessed it: This hotel is just as sound proof as a paper bag. Hotel Birkegaarden’s sales pitch is all about the pricing. And in... More

Small creepy rooms. no Staff after 6pm. Wifi never working. They don't clean the room just bring towels and make the bed. Noisy. they refuse to do the laundry. They even have a old dog staying need the breakfast area, inside.

Nothing works and the service is absolutely none. I would choose the morgue before thinking about sleeping there. Internet does not work and the staff basically call you stub it when you ask them to fix it. If you look under your bed you should´t be surprised to find a corpse, or at least a dead animal. This is absolutely... More

I went on a business trip in Herning. BirkeGaarden was not a cheap choice, especially for what I experienced. Mostly my problems were with the reception. Have you ever seen a reception that won't be able to call a taxi for you? Or that has no info about how to move in town? How to come and go to their... More

Located a few kilometres from town centre and rail station, too far to walk with luggage and in colder months. Dated hotel that needs an upgrade and reno. Did not use bar or restaurant as I dined in town with a friend. Returned to hotel around 8.30pm, reception already closed. Free wifi internet, but you must obtain code from reception,... More

I read recently that the 3 most important things to business travellers are 1. a comfortable bed; 2. a good shower; 3. a decent wireless internet connection. I'd have to give this hotel 1 out of 3 - the shower was ok. Details: I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. First thing to know is that they are (were?)... More
