Stayed 19-08-2014 The Scandic Borlange City hotel was the 2nd hotel that I used on my recent trip to Sweden, as there are not 2 Scandic hotels that alike (so far that I have found) it pays to have a look around the place and get to know the layout. The main reason for giving this hotel the maximum rating... More

Room was very warm during stay. Small fan helped some but still uncomfortable sleeping. We paid for parking which was out of sight across street. Breakfast was good. It seemed crowded around the food lines but quality of food was good and hotel opened up extra seating area. Meal service for dinner was good. Elevator was very slow. Bathroom needed... More

A bit boring and a completely fully booked restaurant. The enviroment is not too nice and the furniture a bit worn down. Our window faced the roof of the next house. Don´t forget to visit Romme alpin if you want to go for some skiing.

The hotel is very clean and good if you are staying in the area for business. The staff are its biggest advantage - always helpful and full of good advice. The restaurant is expensive and has a limited choice if you are here for a few days, but does have some buffet meals at better prices. The parking is just... More

Don't get me wrong. The hotel as such is worth 3 or 4 stars. It is a decent hotel in central Sweden and there is a spacious parking across the street. The staff makes the difference. Always (yes, always!) nice and humourous and very helpful. I am a grumpy old man and a stay at Scandic Borlange cures me for... More

The Scandic Borlange was a very clean and quiet hotel. I would say that it was par for the 6 hotels we frequented on our trip to Sweden. Rooms are average sized, beds are comfortable, selection of television stations left something to be desired. Breakfast was fantastic, with the full spread that we came to expect from hotel stays. We... More

The Scandic Borlange is a great hotel! Breakfast, although a bit boring after the 2nd day, was always tasty. Clean and quiet with a freindly and helpful desk staff. The location at the end of the main street in the Centrum section keeps you close to the shops etc but away from the clubbing that goes on at the other... More

I have stayed on most of the hotels in Borlänge. Scandic is the winner! The staff both in reception and restaurantmakes the difference. Kind and friendly and makes sure that everything meets your expectation. Rooms are basic but well kept.

Borlänge is a small city about 250 km northwest of Stockholm. It is in the "region" of Dalarna and so does attracts some tourists. But the main business in Borlänge is the government institutions and some industrial factories. Scandic is a nice hotel. I was upgraded to a junior suite but it is very clear that they are going through... More

Perfectly comfortable hotel. Cosy reception with nice staff. The room was a bit small but beautifully designed with flat screen TV. Nice restaurang and breakfast very good. Travelled with family but also suitable for business.
