Stayed here overnight on when driving to Bordeaux, and was a perfect option. Really felt like we had arrived in France. Hotel has ample parking which was really useful, and its own personality, no bland chain. Ate on the terrace of the restaurant, which was lovely, great food and attentive staff. Don't speak much French, but managed to get by... More

Pleasant and quite location . Room and bathroom were small but fuctional ,unfortunately without air conditioning, which would have been appreciated on the warm night we were booked in for. However the biggest disappointment, that after travelling all day and looking forward to a meal that evening, was that the restaurant was closed on the Saturday night and on the... More

I stayed here overnight, on the Friday night, the 2nd August - as a stopover on my way back to our home in the south west of France. Iniitially, I was presented by an attractive looking hotel, in almost a small park setting, with a pretty terrace/restaurant outdoors - a charming spot to spend a warm evening.........not to be! Having... More

We too were greeted by an unsmiling receptionist who was talking on the phone. A smile and whispered “be with you shortly” would have been nice but instead she just turned her back on us and carried on her (very, very long) conversation. I suspect it was the same one who greeted “Elbasilio”. We had booked a “Superior” room. Now... More

I stayed at this lovely hotel, whilst attending a cooking school, and taking in the sights of Louviers, right from the beginning of getting there a bit earlier than exspected, the staff were really helpful and welcoming. My room was spacious and comfortable the lovely big windows opened in to let me get some lovely sunshine and fresh air as... More

Unfortunately we were greeted – if that is the right word – by an unpleasant receptionist who had not been educated in the art of politeness to arriving guests. Thereafter there was some improvement. The room was attractive & comfortable & well-priced at 65€ (internet). One bedside lamp failed to work, but that is practically the default in France. The... More

I lived in this hotel for approx. 4 months. The most wonderful owners saw to my every need. The chef/owner and his wife are great host. There was a wonderful lady at the reception desk that spoke fluent English. However, the entire staff was very accomodating and I managed very well with my limited french. The rooms were basic French... More

Quiet, clean hotel with gorgeous big patio ideal for relaxing with a book and a glass of wine. Excellent staff with excellent English for those of us who don't speak French! Self-serve breakfast is included and has an assortment of fresh breads, yogurt, fruit, jams, juices. After attending cooking school at Susan Loomis' On Rue Tatin (a five-minute walk), we... More

We stayed here for the twinning celebrations and found it the most peaceful hotel I have ever found in France. For much of the day, there was nobody to be seen and the public areas of the hotel were deserted, mostly locked except the reception lobby. A new couple took over here last year and they are very friendly and... More

There is not alot to see in Louvier but we stayed here for three nights while going to cooking school and found it quite nice. The front rooms overlook the large grounds that use to be an apple orchard. Rear rooms don't look at much. The family running this hotel were quite nice and helpful. For one night we were... More
