This was a comfortable stay, in a hotel outside of the town centre. The staff were very helpful and the meals were reasonable. There was shopping within a couple of miles, and the Caen memorial was 5 -10 minutes away. This was a very handy location for visiting the D-Day beaches, which was the purpose of our trip, and we... Stayed here as part of a tour, and it was a comfortable stay. Pros: - very comfortable bed and lots of pillows - great shower head and pressure - friendly staff - coffee/tea facilities Cons: - rather underwhelming breakfast - even if dinner is included, skip it. You are better off going to bed hungry. - I had a room... More

Stayed at this hotel as part of a group travel. The hotel is centrally located to visit the Normandy sights and museums. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was decent. We had arranged for a buffet dinner one night, but that was very disappointing. Unfortunately two of the beds in the four-person room had bed-bugs, but apart... More

Good location, friendly English speaking Staff, quite new rooms, good breakfast - for vacation to visit the beaches the perfect location. For a mercure hotel positive outstanding. Only minor room for improvement e.g. bottle of water was missing in the room (was part of the booked package) or the coffee got not refilled in the room the second day.

I stayed at this hotel for only one night so my opinion is very limited. I was with a group and we all ate in there for dinner and for breakfast. The dinner was not nice....chicken was dry and tasteless, salad bar was a joke, and not really worth my valuable time. The mashed potatoes were good and atmosphere was... More

I got in late on a Saturday night after a full day of travel from Germany. When checking-in, the staff member was nice enough to ask me if I had eaten. The kitchen had shut down, but he arranged to have an excellent chicken salad brought to my room. I appreciated his consideration. The restaurant staff readily remembered me and... More

This hotel was really full and busy last week, (and will be this week too) being home to Team GBR at the World Equestrian Games. The hotel is very close to the tram stop to take you into town and there is a massive Carrefour hypermarket within walking distance. When we arrived on Sunday it was slightly chaotic, clearly the... We recently stayed here as part of a tour group. The rooms were clean, decent size and typical of the Mercure brand. Breakfast was ok, dinner was not. Turkey was hit and miss - some undercooked and some dry. The best part of the meal was dessert.
